Checking Tools :
1. Sprit Level
A hand tool with curved sealed glass vials con-
taining a liquid and a bubble of air. The glass bub-
bles are located parallel to or at right-angle to the
body of the level to give horizontal or vertical readings.
2. Water Level Tube
A water level is a device used for matching elevations of locations that
are too far apart for a spirit level to span. The simplest water level is a
section of clear tubing, partially filled with water. Water is easily pro-
cured for use, and easily discarded after use.
3. Plumb Bob
A plumb-bob is a weight, usually with a pointed tip on the bottom that is
suspended from a string and used as a vertical reference line, or plumb-
line.
4. Straight Edge
Straightedges are made of various metals like aluminum, magnesium and
even wood. They are available in various lengths and cross sections. It is
used to strike off or remove freshly placed concrete and make the surface
as level as possible before finishing .
5. Tri Square
It has a thick rectangular stock and a slim measuring blade. The
blade is fixed at 90 degrees to the stock. It is used for marking
right angles or checking the "squareness" of something.

A measuring tape is a flexible form of ruler. It
consists of a ribbon of cloth, plastic, or metal
strip with linear-measurement markings. It is a
common measuring tool and easily carried in a
pocket.
