                                               Diagonal Calculation

         Pythagoras' Theorem tells that:

         The square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the two shorter sides.
                                                        2
                                                             2
                                                      a +b =c     2

         Here,  a = Perpendicular

                b = Base

                c = Diagonal

         Example: Find the diagonal of the triangle given below, using Pythagoras' Theorem

         Here,

         a = 5m        b = 12m        c =?

         Since,

          2
              2
                  2
         a +b  =c
                   2
              2
                      2
           5 +12 =c
                       2
           25+144=c
                   2
           169=c

              2
           c  =169

           c=√169

           C=13m
