The Ultimate Sacrifice

On January 18, 2021, 1556 hours, Officer Brandon Stalker and his partner are working Unit 111. They respond to assist with
a barricaded suspect in the 2200 block of Fulton Street. Officer Stalker is working the outer perimeter. He ensures there are
no innocent bystanders in the area and that no vehicles go down the street until the scene is deemed safe. Critical incident
negotiators and the SWAT team are on scene. Around 1822 hours, the suspect appears from the front door. He is holding a
firearm in each hand and shoots at officers repeatedly. Officer Stalker is struck. Crews immediately pull him into a patrol
vehicle and transport him to the hospital where he is pronounced deceased.
