This horse has a special appreciation for the Mexicans involved in Quarter Horse racing . . .

The article by Larry Thornton, “Walter Merrick and Easy Jet” published in March 2015 Speedhorse, highlights the significance of the legendary runner and stallion Easy Jet, expressed in Apollitical Jess who was an outstanding runner and now who stands as a stallion. This horse has a special appreciation by the Mexicans involved in Quarter Horse racing, as his owner, Juan Alberto Tirado (Rancho El Cabresto), is from Mexico.
Larry mentions several offspring of Apollitical Jess whose performances prove their dominance, to which I add one more that in recent months has made headlines in Mexico. And another one that, after campaigning in the United States, recently began competing in Mexico, which Thornton mentions in his interesting analysis.
One is Bp Apolliticalpolicy, a two-year-old colt out of CC Policy (by Corona Cartel) who in his second run set a new record time for 300 yards at the Hipo- dromo de las Americas with a time of :14.95 for a 108 speed index. It was in a maiden race where nine open yearlings raised in the United States participated. The sorrel BP Apolliticalpolicy left from the 9 position and moved with solvency and freedom to cross the finish line ahead by 5-lengths over Beechers Brook, and was supported by the rider Moises Gonzalez Garcia.

He broke the record of :15.06 set in May of 1995 by The Prize (Chicks Beduino - Easy Jets Twayna, Easy Jet) and ten years later equaled by Separate Roses (Separatist - Roses On Fire, Dash For Cash ).
