2018 Year in Review Racing Advisory Committee
The PH Racing Committee has been diligent in recent activity under the new tenure of Chair, Jamie Howard. He has directed and implemented a team that is continually bringing new venues to the Paint Racing industry. Just in the past two years, the committee raised auction funds which are supplementing Paint Races
in the Northwest, the Claiming Futurity and Derby at Tulsa’s Fair Meadows Racetrack. They will bring back the APHA Masterpiece Race that will be an inaugural Derby at Tulsa’s Fair Meadows Racetrack for the 2019 race meet with $7,500 of auction proceeds added to the purse. Make sure you take advantage of these added races for your Paints.
The APHA Claiming Futurity ($17,500 added) payment schedule:
April 1 - $250 • May 1 - $250
June 1 - $250 • TOTAL: $750
A silent auction will be held at Remington
Park on June 1st with lots of great items to be offered. Don’t miss out on the events happening on closing weekend at Remington Park.
Judys Lineage inducted into APHA Hall of Fame
To be inducted into the APHA Hall of Fame requires a lifetime of achievement and a legacy that has impacted the association and the breed. Without fail, inductees worked in their own ways to champion the Paint Horse and made a lasting impact for future generations and Judys Lineage has done just that.
Judys Lineage, a 1989 sorrel tobiano with plenty of chrome, hit the track in 1991 under the training of Durk Perry, starting 15 times as a 2- and 3-year-old and earning more than $45,000 with a Speed Index of 95. In 1992, Judys Lineage was crowned the Champion Running Paint 3-Year-Old and 3-Year-Old Colt. Judys Lineage has sired 937 foals with 471 to race, earning over $5.6 million. They have won 580 races which include 95 stakes wins and 9 of his foals have individually earned more than $100,000. His get also include three world champion racehorses, world champions in jumping and pole bending, and reserve world champions in barrel racing
and stake race. Judys Lineage is the #1 Leading Stallion by races won and the #2 Lifetime Leading Stallion by money earned.
We congratulate Henry, Linda, and Chuck Bowlan for their dedication and support of Paint Racing through the years and, of course, the horse that made it all happen – Judys Lineage!

Non-payment of the owner participation fee will not reflect on a horse’s past performance as records will be kept on all horses; however, if a horse qualifies for any award they will be ineligible to receive if fee or subsequent late payment penalty has not been paid.
All racing year-end awards will be awarded
to the owner or lessee on record as of December 31 of the qualifying year, given the owner or lessee on record has paid all fees and is a current member. (See fee schedule in front of Rule Book)
