eHV-1 Policy Updated for Lone star Park
Courtesy Lone Star Park Press Release - Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie will permit horses shipping to Texas from Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico to enter the stable area of this track effective immediately.
With the Ruidoso Downs quarantine lifted, Lone Star Park has now rescinded its stable area ban on horses shipping in from the New Mexico track.
All horsemen are reminded of the existing policies currently in place for every horse shipping into the stable area at Lone Star Park:
• All horses admitted to or already in the stable area are required to have a current (90 day) FDA-approved EHV-1 vaccine or EHV-1 booster. Vaccine information must be noted on the health certificate for ad- mittance to Lone Star Park›s stable area.
• All trainers and horse haulers are urged to take extreme caution when transport- ing horses and to properly disinfect and sanitize their trailers if there is any chance they might have transported an exposed horse.
