1986 All American Futurity Winner Ronas Ryon
When the gates opened, Top Ladybug, with Boyd Morris in the saddle, got the first call. Then, Chickamona took the lead half way down the track. Go Dick Go and jockey Buddy Nesmith broke slow and had about 1-length to make up as the three front runners raced down the track. It took a photo to determine the winner at the wire, and that was Go Dick Go by a head over Chickamona with Top Ladybug third. The remaining order of finish was Off Limits (4), Bright Rebel (5), Dream Rocket (6), Royal Super Boy (7), Harlequin (8), Mr Deck Moore (9), Scarecrow (10), Pana Lies (11), and Barbara 3 (12).
Go Dick Go crossed the finish line first in a time
of :20.27 for the 400 yards, earning $198,300. The All American win made him the leading money winner for
the year and the third leading money winner for all time behind his fellow All American winners Savannah Jr and Goetta. His stakes wins at two included the Rebel Futurity and the Florida-Bred Futurity. He would be named the 1966 Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. Then, he came
back at three to win the South Texas Derby, the Lafayette Derby, and the Fairburn Classic. He would win 15 of
his 28 starts with five seconds and two thirds earning $277,669.
Go Dick Go returned to the ownership of Raymon Tucker in 1968, and the colt went on to a career as a sire. He sired
