PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G2
FAVORITE HONEY

Favorite Honey scored his first stakes victory in the $310,000 PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G2 on Oct. 3.
Favorite Honey won his Sept. 12 trial heat by 1 1/2-lengths, going wire-to-wire and coming into the finals with the second fastest qualifying time.
In the Grade 2 finals, Favorite Honey stepped away from the three-post and received the second call from the gates. He lugged in early and raced in second place through the lane, a head behind then leader Corona Yo - the fourth-fastest qualifier who was out of the gates in first place from the inside post position.
Favorite Honey was alert and on top of his game as they moved toward the finish line. Jockey Armando Cervantes had ridden the brown gelding several times before, including in the trials, and he knew there was more
in the tank. When he asked for it, Favorite Honey responded.
