Dash For Cash Juvenile
HOCK IT TO YOU

Hock It To You, a multiple graded stakes-placed gelding, claimed his initial stakes victory in the $46,110 Dash for Cash Juvenile at Lone Star Park
on Oct. 2.
Ridden by Victor Urieta, Hock It To You raced in
fourth position early in the 400-yard test. The sorrel gelding simply flew late, engulfing the pacesetters in the lane before drawing away for a 1-length victory. He stopped the timer in :19.775 over a sloppy (sealed) track and earned a 93 speed index.
Owned by Reynold Munoz and Heavy Hitters Racing Stables and trained by Juan Diaz Jr., Hock It To You improved his overall mark to 8-5-3-0 and the $12,450 winner’s share of the purse increased his earnings to $407,712. In addition to his recent stakes tally, Hock It To You finished second in
the Oklahoma Futurity-G2, the Sam Houston Futurity-G2, and in the TQHA Sale Futurity-RG2.
Bred in Texas by Tyler Graham and Conda Maze, Hock It To You is out of the Texas Classic Derby-G1 winner Lil Famous Dash. He was a $35,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate.
Runner-up Rainbow To Roses (Apollitical Blood-CC Seis) flashed early speed finishing second under Luis Vivanco. A homebred for Danny Joe Miller, the sorrel filly is trained by Toby Keeton.
Just a neck behind, At A Bad Time (A Revenant- Nkhoots) finished third. Ridden by Jose Ortiz, At
A Bad Time races for J and L Stables LLC and is conditioned by Michael Joiner.
Completing the order of finish, The Dream (FDD Dynasty-Eyesa Precious), Bettys Dashin Eagle (One Dashing Eagle-Betty Gun), Apollitical Crystal (Apollitical Jess-Walk Thru Crystal), Charly Prospect (Prospect To The Top-Girls With Coronas), Aly Gator (Duponte-Ima Gator Fan), and Dealarunner (Delagame-Elle Of A Girl). De Laurentis was scratched.

A POLLITICAL GAL

APollitical Gal had a few unlucky runs earlier
in her career, but everything went right in
the $27,676 Q-Racing Video Lone Star Distaff Challenge at Lone Star Park on Oct. 2. That resulted in the filly’s first stakes victory.
A Pollitical Gal broke well for jockey Francisco Calderon and vied with Tempting Knockout for
the lead. Those two battled for the first part of the 400 yards, and then A Pollitical Gal triumphed by a 1/2-length in :19.692.
Clinton Crawford trains A Pollitical Gal for L. Hendrix Horses LLC. A Pollitical Gal had won two trials previously and qualified for this year’s Heritage Place Derby-G2 and Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby-RG2.
Carl and Luanne Humphries bred A Pollitical Gal out of winner A Southern Gal. The mare is a full sister to 2003 Ruidoso Derby-G2 and Lazy E Derby-RG2 winner Southern Cartel and to 2007 Oklahoma Futurity-G3 winner CC Policy, as well as a half-sister to 1997 All American Congress Derby-G3 winner Southern Dashing Val. A Southern Gal has produced five winners from nine starters, including stakes-placed Double Eagle.
P & J Racing Ltd.’s homebred Tempting Knockout (Tempting Dash-Passem Up Perry) finished second under jockey Luis Vivanco for trainer Toby Keeton. The 3-year-old filly won this year’s John Buchanan Memorial Stakes.
Jose Alvarez piloted Jess Agree (Apollitical Jess-Eye Agree) to third for owner Scott Bryant and trainer Michael Joiner.
Completing the field were Tempting Violet (Tempting Dash-Sweet Violets), Cartels Blessing (The Louisiana Cartel-Runaway Blessing),
War Eagle (One Fabulous Eagle-Caydence),
and Hot Lady Returns (High Rate Of Return- Hottesticketintown) De Laurentis scratched.
Pot O’Gold P&A Futurity-G1
JS RUNNIN WIRE APHA

JS Runnin Wire has been improving all year, winning his third race in his last four starts and becoming a stakes winner in the $87,225 Pot O’ Gold Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 at Will Rogers Downs on Oct. 2.
The gelding broke his maiden for trainer Dee Keener in his trial for the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1. JS Runnin Wire ran third in the final and qualified the fastest for the Pot O’ Gold.
Gonzalo Gutierrez piloted him in those three races and was back aboard for the Pot O’ Gold Futurity. JS Runnin Wire broke toward the back of the field, but he got up to win by a neck in :17.760 for 350 yards.
Keener trains JS Runnin Wire for Shirley Wheeler, who bred the gelding in Oklahoma out of her winning homebred Quarter Horse Iwilliewantarunner. The mare has produced five winners from eight starters, including Paint World Champion Hotwiredotcom and Quarter Horse stakes winner Js Cartel Runner.
Roy Kent Perkins’ homebred RP Reckless Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-RP Miss Reckess Dash) finished second. Cody Wainscott rode the filly for trainer Ray Enlow. RP Reckless Wire won the PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity.
Keener also trained third-place WF January Dawn APHA (Gitter Dun Turnpike-Tax Time Judy), owned by Painted Faith Racing and ridden by Jesus Salazar. WF January Dawn won the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1.
