The second-fastest qualifier, You Drive I Fly won both of his first two starts, including a maiden race by a length and his Lee Berwick Futurity trial heat by 2-lengths.
Martin Trejo trains third-place TF El Whiskey (Sir Runaway Dash-Toast To Mallard) for Marquez, and Jorge Linares rode the colt. TF El Whiskey had won two races coming into the Lee Berwick Futurity, includ- ing his trial, and ran third in the Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity-G2.
