AQHA Dam of Distinction Femme, shown at left winning the 1986 Trinity Meadows March Derby, is out of Some Kinda Wild, out of Wild Flower, by Double Bid and out of Balumba. Femme is the dam of . . .
1992 Champion 3-Year-Old Gelding Femmes Frolic.
1992 Champion 2 Year Old, Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Deceptively.
Femme is also the 4th dam of 2-time 2009 Champion Runnning Brook Gal, winner of the 2009 All American Futurity-G1.
sired by Flying Bob and out of Miss Bob by Flying Bob. Flying Bob was sired by Chicaro. Miss Breeze Bar is the dam of 11 foals, 10
starters, 9 ROM and 4 stakes winners. Her stakes winners include Howdy Jones, winner of four stakes races including the Laredo Casa Blanca Futurity, Jet Deck Stakes 1st Division winner Real Thing, and Debutante Handicap winner Howdy Sis.
The fourth stakes winner out of Miss Breeze Bar is Fast Jet by Jet Deck. He won the Lubbock Downs Spring Futurity and has a unique role as a broodmare sire. His daughters include Miss Fast Chic and Fast Copy.
Miss Fast Chic is the dam of Crystalinas,
the dam of Azoom, and she is also the dam
of Runaway Winner, the broodmare sire
of Champion Ocean Runaway and World Champion Wave Carver. Fast Copy is the dam of Champion Heza Fast Man.
Azoom is the sire of horses that have
earned over $7.4 million, including Rainbow Futurity-G1 winner Zoomin With Ease. Miss Breeze Bar is the dam of three foals by Azure Te, which presents us with an interesting cross on the influence of Depth Charge. Azure Te was a stakes winning Thoroughbred that was sired by Nashville and out of Blue One by Triple Crown winner Count Fleet. Count Fleet, by Reigh Count, was out of Quickly, making him a half-brother to Depth Charge. Missy Te, one of the foals by Azure Te and out of Miss Breeze Bar, is the dam of Rita Seis who is the dam of 1989 World Champion See Me Do It.
The power of the Depth Charge/Chicaro nick was successful with Quarter Horse mares as well. Miss Widow, a daughter of Depth Charge, is an example. She is out of Queen O’Clubs J by Piggin String. Queen O’Clubs J is out of World Champion Queenie by Flying Bob by Chicaro.
Miss Widow is the dam of Double Queen, the 1964 Rainbow Futurity winner. She was sired by Double Bid, who carried the blood of Chicaro through his dam Paula Thomasina. He was sired by Chicaro’s Tom by Chicaro Bill by Chicaro.
Futurity-G1 winner Little Talks, 2014 Ruidoso Derby-G1 winner Rock You, 2016 City of Hialeah Stakes winner Fly Thru The Fire, 2013 California Breeders’ Sprint Stakes winner Carne Vino, 2015 Evergreen Park Derby Challenge winner Wrap You Up, and 2014 All American Juvenile Invitational winner JM Special Wynn.
Clampitt, by Depth Charge, is another Thoroughbred mare to influence the legacy of her sire. She was a non-winner in two starts on Thoroughbred tracks. Foaled in 1948 and bred by T. S. Proctor, Clampitt was out of La Aguila by Maetall. La Aguila was out of Lisa Gray by Uncle Jimmy Gray by Bonnie Joe. (Bonnie Joe was the sire of Joe Blair, the sire of the Quarter Horse Joe Reed P3.)
Clampitt is the dam of the Quarter Horse Miss Breeze Bar by Breeze Bar and bred by Marion Seward, who raced Breeze Bar. Jean Dillard bought Miss Breeze Bar as a weanling. She went to the track to be an AAA rated runner with four wins in 11 starts and earnings of $1,963.
The mating of Clampitt with Breeze
Bar brings Chicaro back into the pedigree. Breeze Bar by Three Bars was out of Watch Breeze by Bob Randle. Watch Breeze was out of Breeze by Doc Horn. Bob Randle was
