Sparkling Tip Stakes
BIG PROFITT

Wade Helton’s Big Profitt made a seamless transition from the claiming ranks to stakes class, winning the $21,750 Sparkling Tip Stakes at Hialeah Park on Feb. 21.
Saddled by Fernando Carrete and ridden by Francisco Ramirez Jr., Big Profitt raced in fifth position during the early stages of the 300-yard test. He closed resolutely in the lane and pre- vailed in a driving finish to win by a nose over Jesstempting. The 3-year-old gelding covered the distance in :15.591, earning a speed index of 89.
The win improved Big Profitt’s slate to 5-3-0-1 and increased his bankroll to $30,910. It was the initial stakes try for Big Profitt. He has also won
a $10,000 claiming event in wire-to-wire fashion on Jan. 29 at Hialeah Park and a $15,000 maiden, also at Hialeah Park, on Dec. 26, 2015.
Bred in Texas by King Camden Running Horses Inc., Big Profitt is out of Ofishal, the dam of 100% money earners/ROM. Big Profitt is her top money earner and only stakes winner.
Jesstempting (Tempting Dash-Jess Charming) dueled throughout and just missed under Rodrigo Vallejo. The 3-year-old filly, trained by Judd Kearl, broke her maiden at Hialeah on Jan. 18 and races in the colors of Crown Racing and James Spry.
Oscar Delgado piloted Effortlessly Strut (Oak Tree Special-Expect Magic) to a third place finish after leading early for owner Jerry Oxmer and trainer Randall Weidner.
Race favorite Who Jack (Jumpn-Paradise Jayne) and Southern Lulu (Apollitical Jess-Southern Price) finished in a dead heat for fourth place at the wire.
Divas First Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Spit Curl Diva) & Rackem Back (Pool-A Dash of Cole) completed the order of finish.

Cruise By Diva, a 4-year-old son of Corona Cartel and Champion Spit Curl Diva, sprinted to a 3/4-length win in the $36,950 Beautiful Prairie
Stakes at Hialeah Park on Feb. 28.
Under jockey Rodrigo Vallejo, Cruise By Diva
covered 250 yards in :13.127 while recording a 97 speed index and his first stakes victory. Judd Kearl prepped the stallion for owner Sara Leann Morgan of Edmond, OK.
Cruise By Diva was bred in Oklahoma by the Lepic-Morgan Partnership of Iowa City, Iowa. Cruise By Diva is one of five winners from six starters pro- duced by 3-time Champion, Okla. Hi-Pt. 3-Year-Old Filly, multiple Grade 1 winner and 6-time New Track Record setter Spit Curl Diva. The mare has produced five winners from six starters. Cruise By Diva’s half brother, Divas First Wagon, ran third in the Jan. 31 Biscayne Stakes at Hialeah Park. Cruise By Diva is her top money earner and only stakes winner.
Raced in Oklahoma, Florida and Iowa, Cruise By Diva has won four of his 11 races, including three of his last four.
The $23,680 winner’s share of the Beautiful Prairie Stakes purse bumped his earnings to $69,028. The colt was stretching out in distance off of his 1/2-length victory in a 220-yard, $17,500 allowance dash at Hialeah Park on Jan. 30.
Llano Cartel (Teller Cartel-Eyesa Lil Cuervo) finished second with Raul Gutierrez in the irons for owner A. Wade Helton and trainer Fernando Carrete.
Duck Commander (Ivory James-Dashing Diva) ran third 1-length behind the winner under Omar Reyes for owners Samuel and Elizabeth Mendoza and trainer Kalah Welch.
Paint Your Zoe (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Zoe Alexis), Sting Like A Viper (Brookstone Bay-Royally Streak) & Ipolito (Apollo-Seychelle) completed the order of finish.
Lucky Loser Stakes
STICK SHIFT SC

Stick Shift SC made a successful debut in stakes competition, finishing strong to win the $32,371 Lucky Loser Stakes at Hialeah Park on Feb. 28. Osdany Leal was in the irons for this stakes- winning trip, which saw Stick Shift SC drift out slightly breaking from the 2-post. The gelding ran second as he entered the stretch and then made his move, drawing clear to sport a 3/4-length margin as he hit the wire.
Stick Shift SC collected a $19,748 prize for the victory, which boosted his total bankroll to $75,657. Robert Marquez owns Stick Shift SC, a six-year-
old gelding whose first victory in stakes company marked his seventh overall win in 16 outs. Carolina Gaytan trains Stick Shift SC, who has won six straight races—a streak that includes two very lightly-raced campaigns in 2014 and 2015—and a perfect 3-0 start to the 2016 season.
SP Racing bred Stick Shift SC and owns the geld- ing’s dam, Boiling, a lightly-raced 2003 mare. Stick Shift SC is the only offspring out of Boiling to date.
Yurman (Bigtime Favorite-Kpax) finished second by a neck for owners Denis and Julie Schoenhofer. Kalah Welch is the trainer and Omar Reyes did the riding. Somebodysknocken (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Blazin La Jolla) finished third. The filly originally dead-heated with Mavara Vegas, who was disquali- fied, allowing her to take third outright for owner/ trainer Fernando Carrete. Raul Gutierrez drew the riding assignment.
Followed by Toodles Destiny (First Down Mr Jess- Toodledoo Otoole), Coonascorona (Coronas Leaving You-Streakin Attitude), Rocket And Roll (Corona Cartel-Apollitical Time), Okey Dokey Diamond (Okey Dokey Dale-Diamond Of Deception), Time For Jesse Lee (Mr Jesse Lee-Time For Noble) & Mavara Vegas (FDD Dynasty-Jess Like Vegas) who was DQd from 3rd to 9th. Jazz It First scratched.
