AQHA John Deere Mexico Juvenile Challenge
SEND ME ANYWHERE
by Luis Prieto Zamudio, translation by Speedhorse
There were 16 participants in the trials
for the John Deere Mexico Juvenile Challenge. Those races were held on June 5, and the horses were subjected to drug tests before the trials in compliance with the rules of said program.
Of the 10 qualifiers, only eight were entered in the final, which was held June 26 at a distance of 350 yards and with a prize of $881,640 pesos ($43,666 U.S. approx.).
The best positioned in the qualification table was the filly KVN Diva, owned by the Cuadra San Lázaro de Arará, with a time of :17.590, winning her trial by 3 3/4-lengths over Send Me Anywhere. In the final, this order was reversed, with Send Me Anywhere winning by 2 1/4-lengths over KVN Diva over a muddy track.
At the start, it was Wonderful Nightmare running near the inside rail who tried to impose the rhythm of the competition. His attempt was disrupted when KVN Diva began to deploy her speed down the center of the track. She was also overtaken in the final stretch by Send Me Anywhere, who
took advantage of the more favorable terrain on the right side of the sloppy track. With the experienced ride of Yair Daniel Báez Soto, the pair crossed the finish line first in :17.36, which was good for an 86 speed index.
Send Me Anywhere is a
filly born on April 29, 2020,

This is the first victory for Send Me Anywere, who now has a record of 1-2-0 in three outings at the track, adding
to her account $423,187 pesos ($20,959 U.S. approx.).
The award presentation for Cuadra Carta Blancas was headed by Adriana Gómez Barnola, representing the Mexican Association of Breeders and Horsemen of Quarter Horses.
The filly KVN Diva (KVN Corona-Favored, Teller Cartel) was left with a meritorious second place
finish to the satisfaction of Cuadra San Lázaro de Arará under the effective assistance of Alejandro Gómez. She was saddled by Saúl Pérez Robredo and her breeder is Luis Miguel Albores Gleason.
In third place was the gelding RG Hunter Night (Mighty Corona-String Bikini, FDD Dynasty) led by Mario Alberto López Marmolejo. He is the property of Rancho Las Gaviotas, and was trained by Rafael Gandiaga Hernández and was bred by San Sebastián.
Pinky Cartel (The Ocean King-Pinky Breen TB), Dream On Tres (Three Six- Feature Dreamgirl), Azoomin Tsarina (The Marfa Lights-Azoomin Jamie), Wonderful Nightmare (Three Six-Special Copauino) and The King Feature (The Ocean King-Feature Threemillion) completed the order of finish.
