       son of Parrs Request, and he was a stakes placed runner with thirds in the 1974 All American Derby, 1973 Sunland Park Fall Futurity and 1973 Oklahoma Futurity. He is the sire of horses that have won $2,994,702, giving his dam two million dollar sires.
Barbara Lam was an unraced Thoroughbred daughter of Little Request that has been a prolific producer through her foals and their foals to produce a number of stakes winners. One that comes to mind is Shoot Yeah, who was out of Little Tiny Lamb out of Tiny Lamb, a daughter of Barbara Lam. Shoot Yeah won
 the 1987 Kansas Futurity-G1 and Sun Country Futurity-G1 to be named the Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. Shoot Yeah sired horses that earned $2,452,222 with his leading money earner being My Debut, the 1995 Champion Aged Gelding and winner of that year’s Champion of Champions-G1.
This has been an interesting look at pedigree research and how “one thing leads to another.” It has drawn us to Little Request, a stallion that has inserted his influence without a whole lot of fanfare. But isn’t that what pedigree research is all about as we weave through the pedigrees and learn all we can about what we see.

Parrs Request is another stakes placed daughter of Little Request. She ran second in the 1968 Kansas Futurity and Casa Blanca Futurity. She was also a finalist
in the 1968 Rainbow Futurity. Her
foals include A Zure Request, winner of $228,389 in such stakes races as the 1976 World’s Championship Classic and a second in the Champions of Champions that year. He is the sire of horses that have won $3,252,700. Easy Request is another
