by Tracy Gantz
Moonie Blues scored her 2nd career stakes win in the 400-yard $142,000 PCQHRA Breeders’ Derby-G3 at Los Alamitos on Oct. 5. As the fastest
qualifier from the Sept. 15 trials, Moonie Blues was the favorite in the finals with Ramon Sanchez aboard. The filly broke 2nd and took the lead after about 100 yards, winning by 1/2-length in :19.678 for a 95 speed index. Debbie has been at Los Alamitos for Moonie Blues’ races several times.”
