Challenge Championship-G1. She earned $325,321. Fearless Freda was named an AQHA Dam of Distinction in 2012.
Dasha Freda is a full sister to Fredricksburg and Fredaville - they are sired by Mr Jess Perry, the 1994 AQHA Champion Two Year Old and the Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. Mr Jess Perry is the second leading living sire of money earners with earnings of over $47,000,000. In addition to Fredericksburg and Fredaville, he is the sire of six more racing Champions including AQHA World Champion Apollitical Jess.
Mr Jess Perry is sired by Streakin La Jolla,
the sire of horses that have won $25,256,651. Streakin La Jolla is sired by Streakin Six and out of Bottom’s Up by Raise Your Glass. The dam
of Mr Jess Perry is Scoopie Fein by Sinn Fein
by Three Oh’s by Three Chicks. The dam of Scoopie Fein is Legs La Scoop by Scooper Chick by Triple Chick. Three Chicks and Triple Chick take us back to their breeder, the Vessels Stallion Farm. They are sired by Three Bars and out of Chicado V, who is out of Do Good, a foundation mare for the Vessels breeding program.
Dasha Freda has earned her AQHA Dam of Distinction primarily through her sons Heza Dasha Fire and Ima Fearless Hero. She is the dam of seven foals with six starters with six ROM and three stakes winners. The third stakes winner is Heza Fearless Dasher by Carters Cartel. This gelding won the Clasico Velocidad while racing in Mexico.
BREEDING THE BEST TO THE BEST
When we look at the pedigree of Walk Thru Fire, we see the First Down Dash
nick with daughters and granddaughters of Beduino. The mating of First Down Dash and Beduino-line mares has produced a number
of racing Champions, including Royal Quick Dash, Dash Thru Traffic, A Regal Choice, Corona Cash, A Ransom, and this list goes on.
When we look at the pedigree of Dasha Freda, we see that her pedigree pattern is based on the Mr Jess Perry nick with Fearless Freda
by Dash For Cash. This has been a very good cross for both the stallion and mare, as two Champions have come from this cross. A third Champion sired by Mr Jess Perry comes from this same cross. He is Noconi by Mr Jess Perry and out of My Dashing Lady by Dash For Cash.
The Heza Dasha Fire pedigree pattern is reinforced by Ima Fearless Hero, the second 2015 Champion bred by S-Quarter K LLC. He is sired by Valiant Hero by First Down Dash and

The second stakes winner out of Such
An Easy Effort is Fearless Freda by Dash For Cash. Fearless Freda was a 3-time graded stakes winner, with two of them being
the Texas Classic Derby-G1 and QHBC Championship Classic-G1. She was second or third in seven more stakes, earning $262,121.
Fearless Freda is the dam of 19 foals with 12 of them to going to the track. They have earned $1,037,358 with 10 ROM, three stakes winners, three stakes placed runners and two Champions. Her leading money winner to date is Fredricksburg, the 2005 AQHA Champion Aged Stallion. He won four stakes, including the Refrigerator Handicap-G1 and The Championship at Sunland Park-G1. He earned $369,304.
The second Champion out of Fearless Freda was Fredaville, the 2012 AQHA Champion Aged Mare. She won seven stakes races, including the Remington Distaff Challenge (twice), the Los Alamitos Distaff Challenge-G3, and the AQHA Distaff
he is out of Corona Chick by Chicks Beduino by Beduino. Dasha Freda, by Mr Jess Perry and out of Fearless Freda by Dash For Cash, crossed on the First Down Dash/Beduino cross repeats the success found in Heza Dasha Fire.
This shows us that Heza Dasha Fire is
a combination of breeding the best to the best that is reinforced by the outstanding nicks that go with it. Kathy Meneely stated it this way, “Tip the odds in your favor by going with proven crosses. I love going back through who did what and out of what kind of mares. Like with Freda, I am looking for stallions that have crossed well with Mr Jess Perry mares. With Dream, I am looking
for things like Chicks Beduino going well on First Down Dash mares. People before me have paved the way by finding what the proven crosses are. I think for the most part, you follow what is successful.”
This was the Meneely plan behind the pedigree of Heza Dasha Fire and that plan has paid off in a big way.
When you look at the pedigree of Heza Dasha Fire, you are reminded of the old saying “breed the best to the best to get the best.”
