  NINETEEN CRIMES
  Ricardo M. Ramirez’s Nineteen Crimes, a bay son of Big Daddy Cartel and the $97,000 yearling sale-topper at last year’s New Mexico- Bred Sale, sprinted to a half-length victory in the April 27, 300-yard Desert Classic Futurity (R) for 2-year-olds sired by participating stallions at Turf Paradise.
Saddled by Rigoberto Guillen, Nineteen Crimes stopped the timer in :15.855. Martin Osuna rode the gelding, who banked the $48,625 winner’s share of the $97,250 purse.
Nineteen Crimes was bred by Mac and Janis Murray’s MJ Farms at Veguita, New Mexico. His sire, Big Daddy Cartel, is a winning 13-year- old son of the Holland Ease stallion Corona Cartel. Racing at Ruidoso Downs in 2011, Big Daddy Cartel earned $121,800 from five starts, and he was a finalist in that season’s Grade 1 All American and Rainbow futurities.
Big Daddy Cartel has sired the earners of more than $13.4 million from seven crops, including multiple graded stakes winners Cat Daddys Lil Girl, Bigg Daddy, Bigg Dee, and Mamacita Cartel. A half-brother to stakes winner Racy La Jolla, the stallion is owned by and stands for a $5,500 fee at MJ Farms.
Nineteen Crimes is out of Ms Riptide, a winning and multiple graded stakes placed
15-year-old daughter of the First Down Dash stallion Ocean Runaway. The gelding is a half- brother to multiple graded stakes winner and 2019 All American Futurity (G1) runner-up Mister Riptide.

Jess Perry mare Sixes Ms Perry, won the 2004 AQHA Texas Distaff Challenge Stakes (G3) at Sam Houston Race Park.
Nineteen Crimes began his career with
a one-length victory in a 220-yard, $18,000 maiden-special-weight dash at Turf Paradise on March 16, and he set the fastest qualifying time to the Desert Classic Futurity with his
2 1/4-length win in the first of three trials on April 5. All told, the gelding has won all three of his starts and has banked $67,188.
RR Czech This Panama (Panama Wes- Cranberry Czech) finished second and was followed officially by All Da Kings Men (Eye Am King-Da Edge).
Third-fastest qualifier RR Czech This Panama earned $19,450 for his owner, Ricardo Ramirez. A maiden, the Arizona-bred daughter of the Walk Thru Fire stallion Panama Wes has banked $22,444 from three races.
All Da Kings Men, the eighth-fastest qualifier, pocketed the $9,725 third-place
share of the purse for his owner, Jose Aguilar Mendoza. A $32,000 yearling purchase at last year’s New Mexico-Bred Sale, the sorrel son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Eye Am King has earned $10,349 from two races.

and Prince Shasta (Bodacious Dash-Sparklin Royal). Qualifiers Rush Royalty (Eye Am King-Ima China Rush) and Secret
Warning (Heat Warning-Secret Return) were scratched
 Nineteen Crimes’ winning connections include owner Ricardo Ramirez, trainer Rigoberto Guillen, and jockey Martin Osuna.
