EAGLES FLY HIGHER
by Michael Compton
Eagles Fly Higher made his first win since 2018 count, impressively taking down the top prize in the $55,680 Eastex Stakes-G2 at Remington Park on
March 21.
Sent off at odds of 32-1, the 4 year old turned
in a strong effort to win the Eastex with author-
ity. Ridden by Mario Delgado, Eagles Fly Higher grabbed the lead away from the gate in the 350-yard test and never looked back. He shot clear of his rivals, opening a clear 1-length advantage through the lane and powered to win by 1 1/2-lengths. Eagles Fly Higher clocked the distance in :17.276, good for a 97 speed index.
Owned by Darling Farms and trained by Casey Black, Eagles Fly Higher now boasts five wins from 16 outings. The $34,530 winner’s share of the purse increased his career earnings to $340,476.

Oklahoma Futurity Juvenile
OUR SECRET WEAPON
by Michael Compton
Our Secret Weapon was a secret alright, at least to the wagering public which dismissed the 2-year- old gelding at odds of 35-1 in the $50,000 Oklahoma
Juvenile Stakes at Remington Park on March 21. With jockey Ricky Ramirez in the saddle, Our
Secret Weapon brushed with even-money favorite Captain America B at the start of the 300-yard event, but recovered quickly. He dug in and defeated Buford T by a neck, stopping the timer in :15.513.
