buyers at the 2009 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, but she’s certainly impressing now. Bought back for $14,500, the filly has earned $97,290 and added the Aug. 17 Elan Again Stakes at Los Alamitos.
With Gregorio Arriaga in the irons, Onemoreglassofwine got away well and immediately went to the front in the 350-yard race. Favored Royally Sandra matched strides with Onemoreglassofwine
and the two fillies battled to the wire, with Onemoreglassofwine winning by a half-length in :17.576.
Francisco Ramirez trains Onemoreglassofwine for owner-breeder Vessels Stallion Farm LLC.
Onemoreglassofwine won her first three races all in a row last year, culminating in a victory in the PCQHRA Breeders’ Derby-G3. Vessels bred her from Fine Wines, whose three winners from four starters include stakes-placed Mr Perrys Wine. Onemoreglassofwine’s second dam, stakes win-
ner Dashin Sandy, has produced stakes winners Champagne Lane and Redwood River.
Paul Jones trains second-place Royally Sandra (Royal Quick Dash-Lady McDiva) for owner R.D. Hubbard, and Cruz Mendez rode her. Royally Sandra ran fifth in the 2011 Rainbow Derby-G1 and was coming off an allowance victory.
Sheza Shy Shahayla (First Down Dash-Shahayla), ridden by Eduardo Nicasio, and Azshecanfly (Azyoucansee-PJ Flying Phoebe), ridden by Juan Andrade, dead-heated for third. John Wells trains Sheza Shy Shahayla for Tom Atwood, and the 4-year-old recently was second in the California Breeders Matron Stakes-RG3. Jones conditions Azshecanfly for LJM Ranch Inc. The 5-year-old mare won the 2011 Prissy Fein Handicap.
Sheza Fast Habit (Heza Fast Dash-Sheza Habit) ran fifth, followed by Yakeeta Yak (Corona For Me-A Sky Hawk).

his Is Da One has been “da one” to beat all sum-
mer long at Arapahoe Park. Guadalupe Chavez’s 4-year-old gelding improved to three wins in 2012, all at the Colorado track, with his latest triumph on Aug. 19 in the $20,000 Arapahoe Park Express Stakes.
Those two prior victories came in allowance races, but in stepping up in competition, the Lupe Chavez trainee also stepped up his performance. This Is Da One enjoyed a fantastic break out of
the four hole and, after briefly yielding the lead to Urbanite, regained the advantage and scooted to the finish line to claim his fifth win in 16 total starts. This Is Da One covered the 330 yards in :16.518.
Jockey Flavio Lozano was aboard as This Is Da One earned $12,000, increasing his earnings to $32,891.
Bred by Vessels Stallion Farm LLC, This Is Da One becomes the first foal out of Da One to enter black type. The lightly-raced 2002 mare has pro- duced eight foals, six starters and three winners.
Urbanite made a huge push from the outside in
a bid for victory, but came up just short and took second. Royal Dream Ranch LLC owns Urbanite (Check Him Out-Imjumpn), a Jaime Dominguez trainee who had Alonso Rivera aboard. Lupe Chavez also trains WCR Really On A Run (Separatist-BCR Really Cool), who was elevated into third place after Prince On Line was disqualified to last for interfer- ence. Simeon Ramirez owns WCR Really On A Run and Elliot Bachicha, Jr. did the riding.
Cartels First Card (Corona Cartel-Docs First Card), winner of the Dash For Speed Stakes at Arapahoe earlier this year, finished fourth. Choose (A Regal Choice-Take Dad The Cash), Wave
Bac (Wave Carver-Bac By Design), Opportunity Runaway (Wave Carver-Strawfly Six), Rare Waves (Wave Carver-Rare Encore), Triffle (Teller Cartel- Corona Kool) and Prince On Line (Title Contender- Fair Lady Pam) completed the field.
