Pfizer Starter Allowance Challenge Championship

Place Dash mare First Place Affair. A win- ner in three of 13 lifetime starts, First Place Affair finished seventh in the 2002 Ruidoso Futurity-G1. In addition to Senor Fish, she has produced Calientes Wrangler, a multiple stakes winner of $133,226. A four-time stakes winner in Mexico, Calientes Wrangler won
a division of the Texas Twister Stakes at Sam Houston in 2010 and finished second in the 2008 AQHA Juvenile Challenge Challenge Championship-G2 at Lone Star Park. The son of Corona Caliente also set a track record at Sam Houston, traveling 300 yards in a brisk :15.302 in 2009.
Second-place finisher JA Sundance (Gol-JA Sofisticated Lady) won the Sept. 30 Pfizer Will Rogers Starter Allowance Challenge in his last start. Ridden by Josh Romero, JA Sundance
is owned by Danny Caldwell and trained by Brian Muse. Early pacesetter Zoomfection, also trained by Muse and owned by Caldwell, held third for jockey Stormy Smith. Zoomfection (Shazoom-Dashs Perfection) captured the Sept. 15 Pfizer Prairie Meadows Starter Allowance Challenge for his second win from four starts over the track.

Closing out the Bank of America AQHA Challenge Championships on Oct. 27 at Prairie Meadows was the 350-yard Pfizer
Starter Allowance Challenge Championship dedicated to the working-class claiming horses. The $75,000 race attracted a competitive field of 10 runners in sharp form. In a tight finish, Senor Fish and jockey Jose Montoya prevailed by a head over JA Sundance. The winner stopped the timer in :17.664 and earned a speed index of 92.
Senor Fish broke toward the back of the field in eighth position early while Zoomfection darted to the front after the start. In an exciting finish, Senor Fish and

back in third.
Trained by Jose Aguilera for owner Miguel Banuelos, Senor Fish finished third in the $21,000 Fair Meadows Maturity on July 7 and then won two starter allowances at Prairie Meadows prior to his latest score. He was bred in Oklahoma by Newcomb Cattle Co.
