Jessies First Down’s winning connections include breeder/owner Ted Abrams, trainer James Padgett & jockey Rodrigo Vallejo
As for the future, Abrams said, “He’s still strong, fast, and he doesn’t have any physical issues. We’ll turn him out and if he tells us he still wants to race, we’ll run him again. If he could be named World Champion for a third time, and he is deserving, I think it would be spe- cial, not just for us, but for the entire industry.”
Jessies First Down is produced from the two-time winner Jess a Classy Lassy, who was a finalist in the 2007 Rainbow Futurity-G1 and earned $31,279 during her racing career. Jessies First Down is her first stakes winner and her top money earner.
