FAST N FAMOUS EAGLE

Fast N Famous Eagle broke sharply from the 6-post under Everardo Rodriguez and earned a neck victory in the $15,000 Harrah’s Dash Stakes at
Louisiana Downs on Jan. 5, the first stakes of 2019. Owned and trained by Joe M. Davis, Fast N
Famous Eagle covered 250 yards in :13.002, post- ing a 106 speed index.
The bay stallion banked the $9,000 winner’s share of the purse from his second stakes win.
Davis acquired Fast N Famous Eagle for $33,000 at the 2014 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Raced at eight tracks in six states, Fast N Famous Eagle has won seven of 30 starts, including last year’s 350-yard Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs, and he has earned $114,577. He was also a runner up in the 2015 Governor’s Stakes and last year’s Harrah’s Dash Stakes.
Fast N Famous Eagle was bred by Oscar Lozano out of 2005 Texas Hi-Point Aged Mare One Fast Kisser, a 2-time stakes winner in Mexico. She has produced six winners from eight starters, includ- ing Mexicano Futurity winner Royal Invasor and Mexicano Futurity runner-up Runaway Kisser. Fast N Famous Eagle is her top earner.
The Golden Bowl (Mr Eye Opener-First Dashin Bye) finished a game second under Antonio Alberto for owner Rogelio Marquez Jr. and trainer Fernando Lopez.
Ruben Garcia Montemayor’s Three Bar Cartel (Capo de Capi-Eyesa Ridicolous To) and Jesse Levario were third for trainer Josue Ponce.
Globito (Pappasito-Trampstamp), DM La Jolla (Hiclass La Jolla-DM Bella Mia), TDZ Fast Dasher (Heza Fast Dash-Jes A Game), Perrys Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Perry Story), Kas Tempting (Tempting Dash-Beaukas) and One Sweet Merlot (One Sweet Jess-Onemoreglassofwine) completed the order of finish.

JESS A COWBOY

Jess A Cowboy added another stakes win to his career record with a victory in the $17,500 Turf Paradise Quarter Horse Championship Stakes held Dec. 30.
Matthew Fales trains Jess A Cowboy, who broke on top from the 5-gate and established a command- ing 1 1/2-length lead by the first call. He maintained that separation going into the stretch, then added even more breathing room late, crossing the wire 2-lengths in front.
Mark Jasso was in the irons for the 440-yard trip, which took :21.858 and produced a 96 speed index.
Home-bred by Larry & Phyllis Stark, Jess A Cowboy now holds a race record of 35-11(8)-10(5)- 4(2). He brought home a $10,308 payday that improved his total earnings to $215,187.
The Starks bred Jess A Cowboy out of 2001 West/ Southwest Hi-Point Aged Mare Secret Return, who won five stakes races, including the Heza Fast Man Stakes where she set a New Track Record for 350 yards. She has produced 100% money earners from nine start- ers, including 2-time stakes winner Cowgirl N Up. 2015 West/Southwest Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Gelding Jess A Cowboy is her top earner.
Liddle Doc (FDD Dynasty-Her Dashiness) was second under Rick Oliver for owners Mary and John Allred, who also trains the gelding.
Dragon On The Moon (Zulu Dragon-Go Go Moon TB) and Michael Ybarra finished third for owner Miguel Patron Jr. and trainer Orlando Guerrero.
The remaining order of finish was Higher Icon (Texas Icon-Flyhigher), Dig Deeper (One Sweet Jess-Halfpast Aheartbreak), Volcano (One Sweet Jess-Miss Lily Rose), Ketels Kitten (Ketel Won- Nikita Ben), Jay Collins (Heza Motor Scooter-My Donna Doll), Nevada Cat (Furyofthewind-Helens Straw Hat) and Captain On Takeoff (Captain Courage-Takeoff Royally). Senorita Corona Chic was scratched.
AQRA Southwest Futurity
JUS CUZ

Jus Cuz wrapped up her rookie campaign with a win in the $16,150 AQRA Southwest Futurity at Turf Paradise on Dec. 30 and closed out 2018 with back-to-back stakes victories.
Trained by Matthew Fales, Jus Cuz was the even- money favorite at post time.
The filly broke on top from the 3-post and was running third going into the stretch, but made a late rally to seize the lead and beat her nearest foe to the wire by 1/2-length.
Mark Jasso was aboard for the 350-yard trip, which was completed in :17.896 for an 89 speed index on a clear, fast track.
Osvaldo Venegas and David Guzman own Jus Cuz, who improved her overall record to 7-2(2)-3-0. The three-year-old filly, who made her competitive debut in April, broke her maiden with a win in the AQRA Futurity on Oct. 28 at Turf Paradise, during which she set the 400-yard course record by finish- ing in :17.772. This second stakes victory produced an $8,075 payday, improving the filly’s lifetime earnings to $21,462.
Elaine Cota Robles bred Jus Cuz out of 5-time winner Cuz I Say So. She won the 2013 AQHA President’s Spring Derby and was a runner-up in the Dashing All The Way Stakes. Jus Cuz is her first foal.
Fales also trains Babe Watchin (Texas Icon- Watchin The Rain) who finished second under Emilio Tapia for owners Carolyn and Ralph Fales.
Reginas Royal Choice (Royaltys Choice-Fed X Dash) and Kevin Carbajal were third for owner/ trainer Guillermo Morales.
Willy Nelson (Texas Icon-NN Rock N Effort), Jess Play For Me (Jesse James Jr-Playful Choices) and Nochebonita (Texas Icon-Dashin Firmly) completed the order of finish. Chamaca Moon was scratched.
