                                 By Flying Bob, 1944 Champion Stallion Dee Dee officially had nine starts with three wins, two seconds, two thirds and countless match races. According to Nelson Nye in his book Great Moments in Quarter Racing History, Dee Dee
was purchased in 1944 by Ham Eubanks for the McKinsey Brothers. Dee Dee won a race at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque, beating Revenue, No Music and Orphan Boy. The story states that he had won 16 races for Abe Simpson prior to that purchase. In 1945, he won the Pacific Coast Championship going 440 yards in :22.8. He beat Piggin String, Jeep B and Chester C.
Dee Dee sired 65 starters with 30 of them earning an ROM, including stakes winner Bart B S, the 1951 Champion Stallion. Bart B S reportedly won 12 of his 15 official starts and earned $10,009 of the $90,777 won by all the foals of Dee Dee.
Dee Dee sired Miss Bob, the dam of Minette who is the dam of Azuree, the dam of Take You On, the dam of 1990 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt, 1991 Champion 3 Year Old and 1991 Champion 3-Year-Old Colt Takin On The Cash. Takin
On The Cash sired horses that won over $14.9 million. His leading money earner is A Delightful Dasher, winner of $1,660,525 including wins in the 1999 All American Futurity-G1, Rainbow Futurity-G1, Golden State Million Futurity-G1 and the 2000 All American Derby-G1. A Delightful Dasher is the 1999 Champion 2 Year Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.
Noah Zeringue sold Flying Bob to V. S. Randle Sr. and Jack Randle of Richmond, Texas, in the mid 1940’s. This move to Texas opened the book for Flying Bob, bringing us to his third Champion, Diamond Bob, who was bred by Lowell Hankins of the Hankins Brothers of Rocksprings, Texas. Lowell’s brother Jess is the owner of King P-234. ThThe dam of Diamond Bob is Escoba by Little Joe. She is a South Texas race mare.
