RELENTLESSLY

Relentlessly lived up to his name in the Heritage Place Derby-G2 on May 29, dash- ing to his first stakes victory in the $361,010
event, held as part of Remington Park’s meet- closing Night of Champions card.
Aguila Negra Racing Inc., in Illinois, owns Relentlessly, who scored his fifth career win with the victory and collected a $151,624 payday. The three-figure winner’s share sent the three-year-old brown colt’s total earnings to the threshold of a quarter- million dollars, at $249,351.
Relentlessly already had earned black type, placing second in last spring’s Oklahoma Futurity at this same track. Jockey Raul Valenzuela was aboard for both that race and the Heritage Place Derby.
“He’s a good little horse,” Valenzuela
told Greg Thompson of Stallionesearch in a video interview after the race. “He looks like he’s mature.
