Off since the trials for the All American Futurity-G1, Heza Relentless Mess then ran second to fastest-qualifier Midnight Politics in his trial for the Black Gold.
Reed Land & Cattle, which in partnership with Wootan Racing also campaigned millionaire Llano Teller, raced DM Hot Hot Hot for two seasons. She won six of 15 races and earned $177,897. DM Hot Hot Hot had her best year as a 3 year old, when she won the 2009 New Mexico Classic Derby-RG2 at Zia Park and that year’s Pelican Stakes at Albuquerque.
As a broodmare, DM Hot Hot Hot has produced eight winners from nine starters. One of those, Lota Shakin Goin On, won the 2019 Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity-RG1 for trainer Gerald Reed and Whiting Ranch. DM Hot Hot Hot had two stakes-placed runners: Hot PYC Chic and I No Shes A Hot Mess, the latter the dam of Heza Relentless Mess.
Reed Land & Cattle bred and raced

the 2015 Ruidoso Juvenile Stakes and
2016 Hialeah Derby. The mare has since produced four starters, all winners. One of those, Lota Hot Mess, qualified to the 2022 Ruidoso Futurity-G1.
Reliance Ranches’ homebred Coronados Fate (Coronado Cartel-Fate Cant Weight) finished second. Jimmy Brooks rode the colt for trainer Eddie D. Willis. Coronados Fate previously won trials for the All American Futurity-G1 and Rainbow Futurity-G1.
Brenda Reiswig’s homebred Midnight Politics (Apollitical Jess-Midnight Sunlight), favored at 3-2, ran third for jockey Edwin Escobedo and trainer Jason Olmstead. The bay gelding’s previous 2023 stakes performances include a third place finish in the Heritage Place Futurity-G1 at Remington Park and he was a finalist in the Rainbow Futurity-G1 at Ruidoso Downs.
Rounding out the field were KG See If I Care (One Fabulous Eagle-Royal Desirio), Docs Dusty Dash (Docs Best Card-Docs Dusty Dale), BV Trust In You (FDD Dynasty-Charming Eagle), PYC Legacy (PYC Fun N Fancy-Issys Legacy), Cowboys R Myheroes (Flying Cowboy 123-Red Velvet Hero), The Little Drumerboy (BP Hes Down To Dash-Apollitical Mel), and Mystic Paint (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Jess So Sixy).
