DASHIN HOCKS

Proving that the rain won’t get him down, Dashin Hocks secured the lead coming down the stretch to win the $50,000 Turkey Time Stakes
on Nov. 25 at Lone Star Park. Under jockey Nestor Duran, the gelding pulled an incredible, late rally, finishing by a neck. The pair completed the 350 yards on a sloppy track in a time of :17.500 for a
99 speed index.
Dashin Hocks was awarded $28,500 in
winnings for his connections. The gelding is owned by Carlos Ponce and trained by Juan Diaz Jr. Dashin Hocks has placed in all 7 of his career outs, winning 4 of those starts, and he has raked in career earnings of $145,605. He placed second in the Oklahoma Futurity-G2 at Remington Park on March 25.
The bay gelding was bred in Texas by Curtis Crenwelge out of stakes placed dam Braggin N Dashin. Dashin Hocks is her first stakes winner and leading money earner.
Seated by jockey Ali Rivera, Jessa Tempting You (Tempting Dash-Jessa Leaving You) dueled for the win, but was outfinished. The sorrel filly is owned by Guerras Racing Stables and trained by Gilberto Gonzalez. She has won or placed in 5 of 8 of her career starts.
Solaia (EC Jet One-Truly Favorite) and jockey Jose Herbert gave game effort throughout, only missing second by a nose. The filly is owned by Carlos Ponce and trained by Juan Diaz Jr. She won the $150,000 Big Easy Futurity at Delta Downs on Sept. 1.
Completing the field were Jess Star Struck (Jess Lips-Medea), Destinychild (Tempting Dash- Dashingfordestiny), Lefty (This Is An Eagle-Last Street Onthleft), Vodka From Texas (Triple Vodka-Prairie War Princess), Lota Eura (Lota PYC-Eurapollitical Girl), and Mateos Wagon (Mr Apollitical Dash-Miss Sassy Wagon).
DRANK LIKE HANK

After topping the qualifying ladder in the Texas Hero Paint & Appaloosa Futurity trials, Drank Like Hank APHA came back and won the $76,940 finals on Nov. 24 at Lone Star Park.
A Homebred for De Rae Racing LLC, Drank Like Hank recorded his third consecutive victory and fourth overall win in nine lifetime starts. The $29,239 winner’s share improved his total earnings to $79,513.
Trained by Matt Whitekiller and ridden by Salvador Martinez, the gelding hit the wire first by a 1/2-length margin.
The 400-yard trip took :19.666. This marked his second stakes victory; he also won the Pot O Gold Futurity in October at Will Rogers Downs.
De Rae Racing bred Drank Like Hank out
of Irish Vendetta QH, a 2015 mare. Her brood includes Hold My Beer APHA, who won the Olympia Joe Stakes on the same Lone Star Park card.
WF Candy Tellin Tales APHA (Wagon Tales QH-SW Eye Candy) officially finished second after Wire Tap APHA got disqualified for interference during the stretch. Painted Faith Racing owns WF Candy Tellin Tales, a Dee Keener trainee who had Roman Cruz in the irons.
Keener also trains Railway Cafe APHA (Freighttrain B QH-Mai Dashing Hero), who hit the board in third officially for Jay Ross. Rolando Raudales had the riding assignment.
The remaining order of finish was Mighty Mocha APHA (Painted Turnpike-Mighty Chicka), VP Rocket Ryon APHA (Dos Poruno-Call Her Awesome), WF Wirememoney APHA (CRM Livewire-Tax Time Judy), Whiskey And Rain APHA (CRM Livewire-Baileys N Sunsets), Wire Tap APHA(CRM Livewire-Lindys Sign QH), and Little War Wagon APHA (Little PYC-Sheza Vegas Hero). R Cowgirl was scratched.
FLYIN RABBIT 123

Trial winner Flyin Rabbit 123 kicked clear to prove himself as the race favorite in the $61,903 Texas Classic Juvenile Stakes at Lone Star Park
on Nov. 18. Guided by the hand of jockey Bryan Candanosa, the pair broke from the gate in fourth from the inside post, but quickly gained the lead in the stretch. They finished by 3/4-length, completing the 400 yards on a fast track in a time of :19.749 and earning a 94 speed index.
Flyin Rabbit 123 brought home winnings of $27,548 for owner/breeder Louis A Malechek III. In just 7 starts, the sorrel gelding has rolled in career earnings of $238,038. Flyin Rabbit 123 placed fourth in the All American Futurity-G1 after winning in his trial race.
The Toby Keeton trainee was bred in Oklahoma out of stakes winning mare Hardtoget. Flyin Rabbit 123 is the first stakes winner and leading money earner out of the dam and he is a half-brother to stakes placed runner Hardtotempt by Tempting Dash.
The Marksman V (Apollitical Jess-Bellissima Chocolata) and jockey Francisco Calderon held second by a nose. The gelding is bred and owned by Valeriano Racing Stables LLC and trained by Santos Carrizales, Jr.
Just missing second, Flyn Electric Cowboy (Flying Cowboy 123-Corona Carmelita) and jockey Agustin Silva finished third. The gelding is owned by Josefina Guzman and trained by Toby Keeton.
