YOU LOOK FAMOUS

Winning by the bob of a head, You Look Famous dueled for the win in the $54,500 Miss Retama Stakes at Retama Park on July 28. Guided by jockey Noe Villatoro, the bay filly covered the 400 yards on dirt in a time of :20.234 for a speed index of 95, securing her second win for the season.
You Look Famous brought home a winnings of $32,700 for breeder/owner Cesar Rosales and trainer Frank Mendez, boosting her bankroll
to $74,382. She has placed in 7 of her 16 starts, most recently winning an allowance race at Sam Houston on May 4.
The filly is out of Mi Angela, a multiple stakes winning dam with over $600,000 in progeny earnings, 13 starters, 9 winners, and 3 black type earners. You Look Famous is a half-sister to stakes winner Jess Master Angel.
Race favorite, One Famous Lil Lady (One Famous Eagle-Lady Lilia) and jockey Ali Rivera lost by the head bob. The pair went neck and neck for first, finishing 3/4 lengths ahead of the next placing competitor. The sorrel filly is owned by Pete A. Scarmardo and trained by John A. Stinebaugh. She has placed in 8 of her 10 starts.
Razimitaz (Duponte-Fast N Fancy) and jockey Franciso Mendez gave a gallant effort to duel alongside the first and second place horses but were out finished. The filly is owned by Laney Fowler and trained by Justin Powell. The filly has won 2 of her 5 starts this racing season.

His Time To Deal, a homebred 5-year-old son of the Game Patriot stallion Dealagame racing for Pete Scarmardo of Caldwell, Texas, won the $55,352
Bank of America Retama Championship Challenge at Retama Park near San Antonio on Aug. 11.
Racing against a reported 12-mph head wind, His Time To Deal covered 440 yards in :22.383, and his margin of victory was a head over
DM Moonpie. Ali Rivera rode the sorrel gelding for trainer John Stinebaugh.
His Time To Deal was bred in Texas, and he was stretching out in distance off of his third- place finish 3/4-lengths behind winner and stablemate Jess The Leader in the 400-yard Willie Hickman Memorial at for Texas-breds at Sam Houston Race Park on June 17. The gelding is
out of Lady Lilia, a winning daughter of World Champion First Down Dash, who Scarmardo purchased for $45,000 at the 2010 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
The gelding has won 10 of 23 starts and has banked $325,860, and his five wins in seven outs at Retama Park include last year’s Bank of America Retama Challenge.
DM Moonpie (Moonin The Eagle-DM Bella Mia) earned the $11,624 runner-up share of the purse for his owner Donna Mushinski. Froylan Ramirez rode the homebred 5-year-old gelding for trainer Kie Mushinski.
Pevs Gambler (One Fabulous Eagle-Ima PYC China Doll) ran third while pocketing $5,812 for his owner Maria Gonzalez. Randy Vega rode the 4-year-old gelding for trainer Salimm Hernandez.
Shockinglyfamous (One Famous Eagle- Shocktime), Viva Le Don (Rock Solid Jess-Viva Arriba), Inphinity (Ivory James-Montage), and Dupontes Courage (Duponte-Tinys Courage) completed the order of finish.

Flyin Rusty, owned and trained by John Boegner, lit up the tote board with his upset victory in the $54,000 Benny Pennington Memorial for Texas-
breds at Retama Park on July 28.
Ridden by Eliazar Vera, Flyin Rusty covered 870
yards in :47.155, and his winning margin was
1 1/2-lengths from The Kings Horse. The gray
gelding earned the $32,400 winner’s share of the purse from his first career stakes score.
Flyin Rusty was coming off of a fifth-place finish, 4 1/2-lengths behind winner Eye Will Decide, in the 870-yard $54,000 Jesse Yoakum Memorial at Sam Houston Race Park on June 17.
The gelding is out of Bling Bling Bok, a homebred winning and multiple stakes placed daughter of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Boknaai.
Flyin Rusty was sent to post at odds of 41-1 in the full field of eight and returned an $85.40 win mutuel. Campaigned exclusively in Texas, the gelding has won four of 21 starts – including three of 11 at the 870-yard trip – and he has banked $83,504, of which $67,764 has been earned in his 870 races.
The Kings Horse (Class King-Fleeta Dif) pocketed the $10,800 runner-up share of the purse for his owner Bullard Farms. Claudio Aguilar rode the homebred 7-year-old gelding for trainer Lewis “Tooter” Jordan. The 1-5 favorite Big Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Delightfully Tres) finished third, 3 1/2-lengths behind Flyin Rusty. Ali Rivera rode the 5-year-old gelding for owner Debbie Grimes, and trainer Robi Meche.
El Bee Dee (A Dashing Valentine-El Bee Bluegrassms), Eye Will Decide (Majestic Cartel- Valiant Lil Lady), Ghost Bear (Phantom Menace- Loose Play), Jax Louisiana Game (The Louisiana Cartel-Thunder Got Game), and My Famous Troubadour (My Famous Romance-Miss Secret Ryder) completed the order of finish.
