ow two for two in the 2023 season, I Am Bolt
took home the gold in the $18,347 Bitterroot Derby at Pocatello Downs on July 28. Under the hand of jockey Jose Figueroa, the black gelding won with authority, running wire to wire, and finishing two full lengths ahead of second. I Am Bolt completed the 400 yards on dirt in :19.837 for a speed index of 97.
I Am Bolt claimed a winnings of $7,339 for owners RTM Stables LLC, Robin D. Dunn, Larry Chapple, and Bryon Goody. The gelding now holds a career earnings of $19,654. He is trained by Mark Hanson and has won 4 of his 6 career outs.
Texas born, I Am Bolt was bred by Tyler Graham and is the first stakes winning progeny out of dam Maddie Ross.
In a dead heat, Shezabear(Heza Fast Rogue- Subicbear) ridden by jockey Eric Ayala, and Jess Yaya(Jess Got Easier-Hadtobebasic) ridden by jockey Nick Newbold, crossed the wire in second, just beating out the following horse by a nose. Shezabear is owned by Lucila Sedano and trained by Ramiro Fregoso. Jess Yaya is owned by Nadine Newbold and trained by David Newbold.
Crossing the wire just behind the dead heat, Absolut Keerash(The Marfa Lights-Absolut Pride) and jockey Cesar Moreno made a clean trip on the outside. The sorrel gelding is owned by Lukrena Schoonover and trained by Enrique R. Rojo.
The remaining horses crossed the wire as follows: One Famous Rock (One Famous Eagle- First Prize Joy), Whooz Ya Daddy (Big Daddy Cartel-Shi D Anna), Blackwater Cartel (Big Daddy Cartel-Rf Mucho Dinero), RB Dash Thru Fire (Walk Thru Fire-Dash For Yonder), Connors Cartel (Sizzlin Cartel-RTM Lunch Money). MV Shezadynastydoll was scratched.

r B scored his first stakes victory in the
$15,000 Malad Futurity Division 1 at Oneida County Fair on Aug. 13.
Ridden by Jose Espinosa, Dr B made easy work of the 300 yards with a wire-to-wire victory by 3/4-lengths, stopping the clock in :15.597, which was good for a 96 speed index.
Owned by Rainee Browning and Ricardo Castillo, who is also the trainer, Dr B brought home the $6,750 winner’s share of the purse. The colt now has a bankroll of $13,350 and a race record of 4-2(1)-1-0.
Bred Jackie Sessions, Dr B is out of lightly raced Sister Jess, a half-sister to Zoomin Baby, winner of the Evangeline Downs Futurity. The mare has produced three winners from six starters, including top earner Perrys Secret, winner of the West Texas Futurity-G2 and a runner-up in the TQHA Sale Futurity-RG2.
Dr B’s second dam is Royal Baby Sister, winner of the Cajun Kindergarten Futurity-G3 and New Mexico Derby Challenge-G3. She also placed in the AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship-G1, Oklahoma Derby Challenge-G3, East Juvenile Challenge-G3 and East Distaff Challenge-G3. Lastly, she was a finalist in the AQHA Derby Challenge Championship-G1, Remington Park Derby-G1, New Mexico Distaff Challenge-G3 and Oklahoma Distaff Challenge-G3.
The colt’s third dam is Pass Your Glass, winner of the Jet Deck Stakes. She has produced seven winners from eight starters, including top earner Pie Glass, finalist in the Golden State Futurity-G1, Golden State Derby-G1, La Primera Del Ano Derby-G1 and PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-RG3. She is the dam of two stakes winners in Down South Junkin, stakes winner Streakin Pass and Brad Len Stakes winner Easy Dividend.
Jazzing Dynasty (Jr Dynasty Mountain-Jazzing Jenna) and jockey Ricardo Del Cid finished in second for owner/trainer Wes Kellett. The filly has hit the board in two of her first three outs.
Fidel Susano’s Dkendall Rascal (Dale Badon- Chicks Got Rhythm) was third under Elmer Castillo for trainer Farrol Cunningham. The gelding has placed third in both of his two starts.
Makin Chicks Move (Makn Moves-First Prize Chiks), AJ Just Dream On (Justaheartofawarrior- Shakem Up Trish), Negracorona (One Fabulous Eagle-Gitana Azteca) and Jessenia (Zoomin Royal- Jesse Heavens) completed the order of finish.

eperate Kisses secured her first stakes win in the
$15,000 Malad Futurity Division 2 at Oneida County Fair on Aug. 13.
The filly was clearly the best on this day as she came out of the 7-post on top for a wire-to-wire win with an impressive 2 3/4-lengths lead. Oscar Villa was aboard for the 300 sprint, stopping the clock in :15.443, while posting a 98 speed index.
Seperate Kisses brought home the $6,750 winner’s share of the purse for owner/breeder Five Livestock Company LLC, which pushed her total lifetime earnings to $12,561. Trained by Ramiro Fregoso, the filly has won three of her six starts,
Five Livestock Company LLC bred Seperate Kisses out of winner Kiss A Kardashian, who has produced two winners from three starters, both stakes winners. Her leading earner is Kiss A Lou Blue, winner of the Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity. Kiss A Lou Blue was also second in the Gary & Sherilyn Blattner Memorial Derby Division 2 and the Idaho Cup Futurity.

Kiss, who hit the board in the South Valley Futurity, Bitterroot Futurity-RG3 and Corona Chick Handicap. He was also a finalist in the Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1.
The filly’s third dam is multiple winner Kissifer, who was third in the Buck Cuskelly Futurity.
She has produced nine winners from 14 starters, including Miss Josie Te, winner of the Utah Classic Derby-RG3 and a finalist in the Silver Dollar Futurity-RG1, Diamond Classic Futurity-RG1 and Diamond Classic Derby-RG3.
Moonshine Diva (Moonin The Eagle-Shez Tempting Me) and jockey Ricardo Del Cid came in second for owner Anna Aguirre and trainer Jose Gutirrez. The filly finished fourth in the Hadley Giles Futurity Consolation in May.
Streakin Black Wes (Panama Wes-Streakin Zestfully) finished in third under Jesus Flores for owner Ramiro Saldana and trainer Glen Jamison. The filly has placed in three of her four starts.
Sketchy Politics (Apollitical Spirit- Shouldabeenjoebob), BNB Docs Highestcard (Docs Best Card-Optimyze), AJ Dancen Inthe Dark (Justaheartofawarrior-Holly Ali) and Mz Paquita (El Damazo-Asian Dawn) completed the order of finish.
