Streaks Of Power is still looking for her first stakes victory after she began 2023 as a finalist in the Los Alamitos Oaks-G1. In her All American Oaks trial, Streaks Of Power broke in fourth under Francisco Calderon and promptly moved to the front of the field. She won her trial with a 2-length lead to secure the fastest qualifying spot. The filly is a homebred for Ken O’Brien and trained by Monty Arrossa. This is the first time Francisco Calderon has ridden the filly.
JES AN ANGEL SI 99, $393,737
Already a successful stakes winner, Jes An Angel started her 2023 season with a fourth-place finish
in the Rainbow Oaks-G1. Last year, she won the Southwest Juvenile Championhip-G2, Black Gold Fillies Futurity and Old South Futurity. During her All American Oaks trial, Jes An Angel made easy work with a wire-to-wire win by 1 1/2-lengths for the second spot on the qualifying ladder. Jes An Angel was bred by Jerry Windham and is owned by Brad Williams and Don Forbes. This marks the fourth time that Noe Garcia Jr. has ridden the filly for trainer Marc Jungers.
COOL YA JETS SI 91, $229,667
Cool Ya Jets began her 2023 season with a win in the Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Oaks on July 15. In addition to that victory, the filly has also hit the board in three other stakes events last year, including seconds in the LQHBA Sale Futurity-RG1, Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile-RG2 and Louisiana Juvenile. In her All American Oaks trial, Cool Ya Jets quickly grabbed the lead out of the gates and dueled throughout, but ultimately proved best as she crossed the wire a neck in front to secure the third fastest qualifying time. Cool Ya Jets was bred by Bayou Stirling Equine LLC and is owned by Pete Scarmardo. This is the first time Francisco Calderon has ridden the filly for trainer John Stinebaugh.
EZEE MONEE SI 94, $297,855
Ezee Monee is yet another filly coming into these trials with a 2023 stakes victory under her belt after winning the Rainbow Oaks-G1. She was also fourth in the Ruidoso Derby-G1 earlier this year. In her All American Oaks trial, she dueled throughout with the leader, but had to settle for second under Adrian Ramos, who has ridden the filly in eight of her 12 starts. Her second place finish was good for the fourth spot on the qualifying ladder. Ezee Monee was bred by Bobby D. Cox and is owned by Isidoro Esparza and trained by Jaime Aldavaz Sr.
ONE PERFECT LADY SI 97, $277,282
Still looking for a 2023 victory, One Perfect Lady won last year’s Dash For Cash Futurity-G2 as well as the Ruidoso Downs Juvenile Challenge-G3. In her All American Oaks trial, One Perfect Lady and jockey Francisco Calderon chased the leader throughout the 440 yards, but ultimately settled for second place and the fifth fastest qualifying time.
