                                Mexico Futurity Consolation and the José Edgar Domínguez Award

In the consolation race, nine of the 10 qualified participated due to the scratching of Stayin On Sea of Cuadra Garañones. The
prize pool was $222,275 pesos (approximately $11,758 US) which was run in 250 yards.
The time discrepancy in qualifying races made it difficult to choose a favorite, but at the time of competition, the odds reflected two most requested in the betting box; Fast Marea (#7) and Rabbits Last Dash (#9).
The race highlighted the speed of the grey colt ZE Dancer Arandas (#3), well driven
by Jose Manuel Cisneros, who managing to stay on point until crossing the finish line by a neck to SF Simple Quick Heart (#8), who in turn took 1/2-length in front of Super Be Three (#5). He finished the distance in 13.08 seconds for a 95 speed index making this
his second victory in three starts, for which he added to his account $133,365 pesos (approximately $7,055 US).
ZE Dancer Arandas
is a son of Ze Dancer and out of Arandas Andy, by Andy Sixes. He was bred in Jalisco by Félix Bañuelos, who consigned him to the 2016 Selecta Auction paying in the ring $130,000 pesos (approximately $7,083 US). The colt was repurchased
by its breeder for Cuadra Hacienda Vieja.
The Cuadra Mac
remained with second
place thanks to the performance of the colt SF Simple Quick Heart (SF Simple Quick Dash-HL Corona Heart), under the direc- tion of Arturo Romero. He is trained by Armando Paulino Montiel and bred by Santa Fe Roldán Inc.
Super Be Three (Xplorador-Super Bee
Dancer) finished in third place for Cuadra GOMAC, with the assistance of Francisco Javier Fernández. His breeder is Everardo Múzquiz and was trained by Carlos Vázquez Márquez.
The final order was com- pleted as follows: Six Corona Possis (Danny Cartel-Three Possibilities), Fast Marea (Sambaso Dancer-Marea Roja), Rabbits Last Dash (Rabbits Rainbow-Hey You
Trouble), Special Catalino (Special First Prize- Catalina Six), Got Six (Xplorador-She Got The Picture) and SE Roses Fly (Fly Jess Fly-Roses For Pauline).

En la carrera de consolación participaron nueve de los 10 calificados, debido al retiro
de Stayin On Sea de la Cuadra Garañones.
El premio asignado fue de $222,275 pesos ($11,758 US aproximadamente), que se disputó en 250 yardas.
La discrepancia de tiempos obtenidos en las carreras de calificación, dificultaba elegir un favorito, pero a la hora de la competencia los momios reflejaron que los dos más solicitados en la taquilla de apuesta fueron Fast Marea (7) y Rabbits Last Dash (9)
La carrera se desarrolló limpiamente y desde la partida destacó la velocidad del potro retinto Ze Dancer Arandas (3), bien impulsado por José Manuel Cisneros, logrando manten- erse en punta hasta cruzar la meta a cuello de SF Simple Quick Heart (8), que a su vez sacó medio largo delante de Super Be Three (5). Agotó la distancia en 13.08 segundos (SI 95) siendo esta su segunda victoria en tres salidas, por la que agregó a su cuenta $133,365 pesos ($7,055 US aproximadamente).
