Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials
Hotwiredotcom Crowned Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown High-Point Champion
Hotwiredotcom was crowned the 2017 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa High-Point Champion on Oct. 28 following a fourth-place finish in the third leg of the Speedhorse Triple Crown – The $52,000 Speedhorse Lone Star Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1.
Hotwiredotcom finished second, 1/2-length behind Bully Pulpit, in the $200,000 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – the first leg – at Remington Park on June 3. Hotwiredotcom then finished third in the $92,100 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity – the second leg – at Tulsa Fair Meadows on July 29.
Hotwiredotcom APHA (CRM Livewire-Iwilliewantarunner QH, Willie Wanta Dash) was ridden by Larry Payne in all three races of
the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown. The two-year-old brown tobiano gelding was bred and is owned by Shirley Wheeler, who received a trophy and belt buckle as well as an additional $5,000 High- Point Champion bonus from Speedhorse Magazine. Hotwiredotcom was trained by Guillermo Valdivia in all three of his Triple Crown races.
Hotwiredotcom scored a total of 24 points to take the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa High-Point Champion, in which eligible horses must enter and be paid in full in all three races, must enter the trials of all three races, and must compete in two of three trials.

Trial #2 - Race #4
Apollos Second Sign (#7) was the 1/2-length winner of his trial and scored the fastest qualifying spot, Bully Pulpit (#2) took 2nd to qualify 3rd, Hotwiredotcom finished 3rd for the 5th qualifying position, and GB Star finished 4th and took the final qualifying spot.
