Streakin Yellowjacket and owner Jeff Damphouse took the 1D Solid Paint-bred Championship.
Coming in as the 3D Champion
was Shesgenuine with Julie Baker aboard. Shesgenuine, a 2013 bay tobiano mare by
Star Bert Doc and out of Tuffs Sugar Pearl, was bred by Lisa Chepkauskas-Grimes and is currently owned and showed by Julie Baker of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Finally, the 4D Champion team was Genuine Honey and Judy McReynolds. Genuine Honey, a 2003 bay tobiano mare
by Prince Barjet and out of Genuine Comet 223 QH, is bred by Sharon Bitters of Mineral Wells, Texas, and currently owned and shown by Judy McReynolds of Burleson, Texas.
Casino Perks and owner Mark Bugni took the
1D Championship in the PBRIP Sweepstakes and also banked a $2,000 bonus from Farnam for the fastest overall time of :16.052 in the
PBRIP Sweepstakes classes.

Trumpy and Robyn Jacob of Carmine, Texas, ran to the top of the leaderboard in the PBRIP Solid Paint-Bred Barrel Racing Sweepstakes, but they took home more than just the $1,083 payout. Trumpy’s average time between his PBRIP run and his time in the Solid Paint-Bred Barrel Racing World Championship class with Robyn’s daughter, Taylor, also claimed the PBRIP World’s
Fastest title and a custom trophy saddle, courtesy of Elite Saddlery.
“Taylor usually runs Trumpy and I work him all the time, but today was the first day I’ve actually competed on him. I was really nervous, but it worked out and he took care of me—a smooth, clean run,” Robyn said.
Trumpy, a 2009 red roan solid gelding by Country Quick Dash and out of Miss Super Dee, is owned by J Bar 7 Ranch LLC of Quanah, Texas. The gelding was bred
by John TL Jones Jr. Interests, LTD, of Lexington, Kentucky.
The 2D Champion team was Rockin
On In and Lisa Harris of Cleburne, Texas. Rockin On In, a 2003 sorrel Solid Paint- Bred gelding by Double Take Charm out of Miss Buds Princess QH, was bred by Martha Burnett of Odessa, Texas, and is now owned and shown by Harris.
Coming in as the 3D Champion was Royal Smokin Bug with Tristan Watson of Nowata, Oklahoma, aboard. A 2010 bay Solid Paint-bred mare, Royal Smokin Bug is by Bugaliverevived and out of Dial Company QH. She was bred by Sheldon Manley of Coffeyville, Kansas, and is owned and shown by Watson.
Finally, the 4D Champion team was
Slews Fancyfinish and Elizabeth Scott. Slews Fancyfinish, a 2008 sorrel Solid Paint-bred mare by Ara TB and out of Whatafinish, is owned, bred, and shown by Elizabeth Scott of Joshua, Texas.
There is always so much excitement at the APHA Open/Amateur World Show, but these flashy Paints made our hearts race! We are certainly looking forward to seeing them run the cloverleaf again soon.
