Perfect Fit became the dam of Deck’em. Deck’em was sired by Hempaces, a stal- lion used in the Allred breeding program. Hempaces was sired by Indian Hemp and out of Aces Count, by Count Fleet, mak- ing him a paternal half-brother to Hempen. They were both sired by Indian Hemp.
Deck’em went to the track to win six stakes races, including the Clabbertown G and the Lassie Handicap at Los Alamitos. This mare raced 52 times, winning 23 of her starts and finishing second six times
and third six times. In addition to her stakes wins, she was second or third in nine of the stakes races she ran in, winning $120,716 on the track.
Deck’em retired to the broodmare band and became the mother of eight foals, seven starters, six ROM and three stakes win-
ners. The stakes winners are Dash In Style (by Dash For Cash), winner of the Prescott Downs Derby; Decked For Cash (by
Dash For Cash), winner of the Budweiser Derby-G1; and A Social Climber (by Dash For Cash), winner of the AQRA Turf Paradise Futurity. As we look at this line of Allred mares, we see that it started in the 1940s with June Bug Allred and came into the ’90s with the stakes-winning A Social Climber.
The next mare with Allred connections is Lorane’s Vandy. This 1949 mare was bred in Oklahoma by Dennis Baker of Okmulgee. She was sired by Vandy and out of Lorane, by Zandy. Lorane was a product of the Glen Lowry breeding program of Oklahoma.
When the Allred Brothers bred Lorane’s Vandy to Be Sure Now TB, they got Beau Sure. This mare was a AAA/ROM runner. The Allred Brothers are like all breeders in that they are in the business of selling their product. Beau Sure was sold and became the
property of Bruce H. Tyler. Tyler bred Beau Sure to Mr Cute Bar. This mating resulted in Beau Too. Beau Too became an ROM run- ner with an 86 speed index.
One of the best things to happen to a breeding program is when the horses bred become successful for someone else. Beau Too became the dam of Tylers Cutie, by *Beduino TB. Tylers Cutie was an ROM runner on the track with a 91 speed index and went on to produce Tylers First Down, by First Down Dash. Tylers First Dash won the QHBC Juvenile Classic, and upon her retirement to the broodmare band, produced Ausual Suspect, an All American Futurity winner.

sire with foals like the AQHA Racing World Champion Freaky. Some of his other stakes horses are Hard Hitting, Snitcher, Sassmaster, Leonas TR and Remembering Spence. All
of the TR Dasher offspring bring this Allred foundation family into the new century. The next Allred Brothers mare fam-
ily comes from Dotty Kay, a mare that it appears they never owned. Dotty Kay was a daughter of Clabber out of Show Lou. Dotty Kay was an ROM race mare with an A rating on the track. She was owned by a number of breeders, including Nancy S. Clark of Tubac, Arizona. While owned by Clark, Dotty Kay produced the mares Bay Easter and Ill Do
It Dot. The Allred Brothers bought both
of these unraced mares and used them as broodmares. Bay Easter was sired by Piggin String by Ariel.
When Bay Easter was bred to I’llDoIt TB they got Mission Miss, an ROM/AAA rated mare. Mission Miss was the dam of seven foals with seven ROM, five stakes horses including two stakes winners. The stakes winners are Dedicated, winner of the Graham County Futurity, and Champion Bar, winner of the Graham County Derby.
When the Allred Brothers bred Mission Miss to Barjo they got Brandy Rose. This mare was stakes placed in the Santa Cruz County Futurity. When she was retired to the broodmare band, she produced horses like Aces Count, by Hempaces. Aces Count won the Gila County Derby and became the dam of stakes horses like Dadburn It, by Dash For Cash, and Rich Countess, by All American Futurity winner Timeto Thinkrich.
