“He’s such an amazing animal. He gives his best every time,” said Jose. “We don’t need to do anything major to him. He just gets out there and does his job. I don’t think we’ll ever see another horse of this caliber. I just think he’s got a gift. He’s something special.”
After receiving the title of World Champion, One Dashing Eagle’s connections announced that the colt has been retired and will go to stud in 2013. Shortly thereafter, Lazy E Ranch announced that they would be stand- ing the new champion for $12,750, including the farm fee.
“Now that he’s been voted World Champion he’s done everything that we could have hoped,” said Jose. “I think that’s it and he’s retired.”
