BRUCE ALLMTY

Even-money favorite Bruce Allmty scored his second stakes victory in the $51,100 Eastex Stakes-G2 at Remington Park on March 11.
Fernando Carrete trains Bruce Allmty, who broke well from the 5-post and moved into the lead by a head at the first call. The gelding widened his advantage to 1/2-length going into the stretch and withstood a furious charge by Tough To Bee to hit the finish line first by a neck.
Jockey Roberto Meraz Jr. was aboard Bruce Allmty, who finished his 350-yard trip in :17.336, posting a 95 speed index. The $29,784 winner’s share of the purse boosted his cumulative lifetime earnings to $131,942.
Owned by Adrian Cano, Bruce Allmty raced to his seventh career win in 16 starts. This marked his fourth straight victory, a streak that included the KOFX-FM Radio Handicap at Sunland Park on Jan. 27 of this year.
Jailbait Inc. bred Bruce Allmty out of unraced BR Regal Gal. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters. Bruce Allmty is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
Tough To Bee (Apollitical Jess-Peppermint Seis) finished a strong second for Paragon Farms LLC. The Trey Wood trainee had Ricky Ramirez in the irons.
Dauns First Desirio (Desirio-First Daun Express) placed third for owner Rogelio Carbajal Santos and trainer Julio Corral. Cesar Gomez drew the riding assignment.
Jimmy Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Go You Must), Capshaw Capo (Capo de Capi-Zoom A Strider), Bye Byefreighttrain (Freighttrain B-Bye Bye Bygones), Born To B Bad (Freighttrain B-Dosvedanya), Double Down (Valiant Hero-Fast Prize Doll) and Flyin Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Fast Flyin Prize) completed the order of finish.

ROCK ABOUT IT

All of Rock About It’s previous victories have come at 400 yards or farther. He made his first start at 550 yards count in the $50,000 Grade 3 SLM Big Daddy Stakes at Remington Park on March 17.
Under Benito Baca, who has ridden the 4 year old in all but his first two starts, Rock About It broke second from the inside post and quickly darted to the lead. The sorrel gelding fought hard and never gave up, despite Pitchin Woo closing ground. Rock About It held on to win by a neck in :26.557 for a career best 107 speed index.

J Running Horses. The gelding was winning his first stakes, though in 2017 he ran 2nd in the Ruidoso Derby Challenge, 3rd in the Dash For Cash Derby-G3, and was a finalist in the Hertiage Place Derby-G2 & AQHA Derby Challenge Championship-G3. The $29,730 win- ner’s share of the purse pushed his earnings to $104,975, and his record is now 5(1)-3(1)-2(1) from 14 starts.
Sarah E. Donaldson Rioux bred Rock About It in New Mexico from unraced Not Sable Shes Rose. She has now two starters/stakes winners, including 2017 Arapahoe Park Futurity winner Regard The Rose. Rock About It is her top money earner.
Pitchin Woo (FDD Dynasty-Southern Fast Lady) was 2nd under jockey Roberto Meraz Jr. for Heysol Howlet & trainer Fernando Carrete. Pitchin Woo was 3rd in the 2013 La Mariposa Handicap. Carrete also trains 3rd-placed Big Spurs (Big Daddy Cartel-Lady Chimes), owned by Astorga Racing LLC & ridden by Cesar Gomez. Big Spurs was 2nd in the 2016 New Mexican Spring Futurity-G2. PEVES IBA RACY GRACY

Even by Quarter Horse standards, the $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile at Remington Park on March 24 was a close finish.
When the competitive event finished, Peves Iba Racy Gracy emerged victorious. The filly broke on top from the 4-post under jockey Omar Reyes, and maintained her lead to score by a neck in a blanket finish that included nearly the entire field. Peves Iba Racy Gracy completed the 300 yards in :15.584 assisted by a 7-mph tailwind for a career best 85 speed index.
The $20,000 winner’s share of the purse boosted her total earnings to $21,061 from only two starts.
Clint Crawford trains Peves Iba Racy Gracy for owner/breeder Gordon Pevehouse. Crawford started the filly for the first time in her trial for the Oklahoma Futurity-G3 and she finished third.
Pevehouse homebred Peves Iba Racy Gracy out of unraced Peves Lookin Royal, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Ima Lazie Too. Peves Iba Racy Gracy is her first foal.
Trial winner Hey Seis (Tres Seis-Jess Runnin) finished second under jockey Raul Ramirez Jr. Wesley Giles trains the filly for owners Ezra Elton Lee and Jose Espinosa.
Leonardo Alcaia owns and trains Ivory Runnin (Ivory James-Checkhimout Taryn), who placed third. Agustin Silva piloted the gelding in both the final and the March 10 trial, in which the gelding finished second.
Mirabeau (Captain Courage-Ms Jingles) was fourth, followed by James On The Fly (Ivory James- Strawfly Lady), Harry Bosch (Bodacious Dash-This Dash Is Flying), Mary Janes Hero (Valiant Hero-CR Isabella), Ms Perry Cartel (Corona Cartel-Mr Perrys Wine), JM This Budz For U (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Jess A Valiant Chick) and Secret Gems (Hez Our Secret-First Prize Pearl).
