REGARD THE ROSE

Regard The Rose kept her perfect record intact with a 3/4-length victory in the $30,000 Arapahoe Park Futurity on Aug. 13, closing day of
Arapahoe Park meet.
Racing for Mason A. King, Regard The Rose
defeated Heza Poppin Dynasty by 3/4-length in :19.857, earning a career best 92 speed index. Alfredo Triana, Jr. rode the filly for trainer Juan Ortega. The $18,000 winner’s share of the purse pushed Regard The Rose’s bankroll to $30,930.
Regard The Rose was bred by the Coronas Black Diamond Partnership and is the 1st stakes winner out of unraced Not Sable Shes Rose. The mare has pro- duced 100% winners from two starters, including top earner Rock About It, the runner-up in the $48,510 Adequan Ruidoso Derby Challenge on July 1.
Regard The Rose has won all three of her outs. She went into the Arapahoe Park Futurity, which had its inaugural running this year, by winning a 350- yard open allowance at Arapahoe on May 19 and she broke her maiden at Remington Park on April 13.
Rivera Quarter Horse Racing Inc.’s Heza Poppin Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Sheza Dashin Lil Pop) finished second and was ridden by Noe B. Rodriguez for trainer Lupe Chavez.
Indomable Cartel (The Louisiana Cartel-Tahiti Wave), the 3-2 favorite, ran third. Fernando Fonseca- Soto rode the stakes-winning colt for owner Mariano Cornejo and trainer Luz Chavira.
Jettin Ben (Easy Winning Jet-Nikita Ben) finished fourth and was followed by Mi Corazon (Simply Silver Sage-Hammer First), Krashin
Cash (Krash Cartel-Hot As Diamonds), Dee Favorite Girl (Favorite Cartel-Eyema Blues Girl), Jess Stormie (Red Storm Cat-Sweet First Jean), Aftershock Shake (Snowbound Shake-Baby Buckle Up) and Courageous Ann (Captain Courage-Fast Prize Anna).

MOVIN THE DOE

Movin The Doe keeps moving up with his 3/4-length win in the $30,000 Arapahoe Park Derby on Aug. 12.
Prepped by trainer Roberto Treto, Movin The Doe made a driving finish to add to his decorated sophomore body of work. Jockey Jesus Osuna completed the 400-yard trip in :19.590, posting a 99 speed index. The 3-year-old gelding recorded his eighth overall victory and third in stakes company, and the $18,000 payday improved his total earnings to $84,306.
Owned by Luis Gonzales, Movin The Doe has been enjoying a fine sophomore campaign. The gelding holds four wins in five outs so far this year, including the Bitterroot Derby in June at Sandy Downs. Movin The Doe earned black type with a victory in last year’s running of the AQRA President’s Open Fall Futurity.
Movin The Doe is one of two stakes winners out of lightly raced Bundle Doe. Steve Berry bred Movin The Doe and owns Bundle Doe, who has produced 100% earners from six starters. Movin The Doe is her top earner.
Dauns First Desirio (Desirio-First Daun Express) finished second for owner Rogelio Carbajal Santos and trainer Eliazar Salas. Ramiro Garcia drew the riding assignment.
Live To Love Candy (Cartels Candy Man-Found A Candy Tree) hit the board in third. Santos Lopez is the owner and Miguel Pena the trainer. Manuel Meza was in the irons.
The remaining order of finish was Copy My Daddy (Big Daddy Cartel-Fast Copy Miss), Frenemy (Kiddy Up-Flare Checking), Perkin Desire (Desirio- Fols Perky Cat), Iza Captain (Captain Courage-Iza Flyin Eye), Newport Kid (Kiddy Up-Register To Win), Rarest Ivory (Ivory James-Rarest Daisy) & PYC Dot Com (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Dashin Dot Com).

FLARE FOR IVORY

How did Flare For Ivory follow up his record-set- ting performance at Arapahoe Park? By doing it again. The 4-year-old colt surpassed his own 300-yard
track record, dashing to victory in the Arapahoe Park Sprint Bonus Challenge on Aug. 12.
Hugo Barron Sierra and Marguerita Melendez own Flare For Ivory, who reached the winner’s circle for the sixth time in 17 lifetime starts. Flare For Ivory first entered the Arapahoe record book on May 28, covering the 300 yards in :15.432, then com- pleted the same distance in this stakes in :15.420, clocking a 105 speed index, and setting a New Track Record.
The win produced a $14,895 payday, pushing the total earnings of the colt close to six figures at $90,309. Flare For Ivory is no stranger to stakes events. He qualified for this year’s West Texas Maturity-G2, as well as last season’s running of the Heritage Place Derby.
Vaughn and Jill Cook bred Flare For Ivory out of Champion Aged Mare Special Phoebe. The New Mexico Hi-Point 3-Year OldFilly/New Mexico Hi-Point Aged Mare has also won six stakes races. Special Phoebe has produced 100% earners from 24 starters, including multiple graded stakes winner/top earner A Special Sno Flo.
Attack The Wind (Walk Thru Fire-Attack The Cartel) finished second for owner Cesar Nunez and trainer Eliazar Salas. Daniel Valles did the riding. Hearts Ona Hero (Valiant Hero-Dashing Uno) finished third. Trained by Miguel Pena, the gelding is owned by Santos Lopez and had Manuel Meza aboard.
Silver Citizen (Silver City TB-Red Alarm), Sweet Solid Rock (Rock Solid Jess-TF Lil Sweet N Easy), Unforgiven B (Jumpn-Mr Perrys Effort), The Midnite Caller (A Regal Choice-Cee The Blurr) and Stormy Red Morning (Red Storm Cat-Sweet First Jean) completed the field.
