When Lone Bet raced at Los Alamitos, trainer Paul Jones told co-owner Robert T. “Tom” Moudy III that she was so talented she would likely produce a good runner in the future. The future is now, as Lone Bet’s son Eagles Fly Higher remained undefeated from 3 starts with a victory in the $100,000 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Juvenile on April 21.
“The little horse fired Saturday night pretty decent,” said Moudy. “It was a good win—seven-hun- dredths off the track record.”
Eagles Fly Higher sailed to the lead at the start for jockey Ricky Ramirez. From there he simply kept going, winning the 330-yard Juvenile wire-to-wire by 1-length in :16.393 for a career-high 104 speed index. The track record is :16.323.

co-owner Vernon Harman Jr. The colt began his career winning a Remington maiden
race on March 17. He took his Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity-RG2 trial by 3/4-length, but didn’t qualify.
Moudy & Harman bred Eagles Fly Higher out of winner Lone Bet, a full sister to Champion of Champions-G1 winner The
Down Side and Grade 1 win- ner Revv It Up. Lone Bet has produced 100% money earn- ers from 7 starters, 5 of which are winners/ROM, including multiple stakes winner Bet I Make U Famous, an 870-yard horse who races for Moudy & Harman.
“I bought in on the mare with Jim Markum when she was a yearling,” said Moudy. “She was a well-bred mare, and our intent all along was to breed her.
“God creates these horses to run and it’s to His glory that this two year old has succeeded thus far,” Moudy added.
VF Jedi Returns (High Rate Of Return- Corona Couture) finished second under
G.R. Carter Jr. for owner Julio Contreras
and trainer Dustin Cox. Saratoga Return (High Rate Of Return-Johns Party Girl) and Edwuin Lujan finished third for owner Marili Mendez and trainer R.L. Robinson. Sunlight Seven (Valiant Hero-Midnight Sunlight), Cappafeyin (Capo De Capi-Satisfeyen), Lota Streakin Wagon (Lota PYC-Heavens Assured), Jess Proved Youwrong (Apollitical Jess-Oh Strawfly Go), Santander (FDD Dynasty-Im A Feature Girl), Royal Cash Corona (Fantastic Corona Jr-Seis The Royal Cash) and Dynasty Leader (FDD Dynasty-Bella Lass) completed the order of finish.

When asked about the gelding, James Padgett said, “He’s one in a million, once in a lifetime and a dream horse.”
“He’s one of the smartest horses I’ve ever been around. I think this horse could do anything. I believe you could gallop him bareback,” the trainer continued.
“We had some gate issues when he was younger, but as he matured he got over it.” James added, “So far he’s one
of the soundest horses we have and that’s say- ing a lot for a seven year old.”
Firing Tools (Walk Thru Fire-No Tools Required) and jockey Stormy Smith pulled out a second place finish for owners Michael and Beth Harper and trainer Mike Robbins.
Koolnfamous (One Famous Eagle-Kool Fire) under Augustin Silva finished third for owner Valeriano Racing Stables, LLC and trainer Toby Keeton.
