BULLY PULPIT

2-time 2017 Champion Bully Pulpit logged his third stakes victory at Remington Park, winning the $51,500 American Paint Derby-G1 on April 28. Under Cody Smith, Bully Pulpit broke from the 6-post and promptly moved to the front of the field by 1/2-length at the first call. He crossed the wire 1 1/4-length in front.
Trained by Matt Whitekiller, Bully Pulpit finished his 400-yard trip in :20.027 for an 84 speed index. The $19,570 winner’s share of the purse boosted his total lifetime earnings to $185,656. He now has a race record of 7(3)-4(2)-0 in 13 starts.
Owned by Dan and Kaye Jones, Bully Pulpit logged his latest victory 364 days removed from win- ning last year’s version of the American Paint Classic Futurity-G1 at Remington. He also triumphed in the 2017 running of the Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1, also held at Remington.
Chuck Bowlan bred Bully Pulpit out of winner Judys Apollo. She has produced 100% winners from two starters, including Judys Legend, finalist in the 2017 PSBA Derby-G1. Bully Pulpit is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
DTL Samureye (Royal Quick Flash-Eysa Savvy Queen) finished second under James Flores for owner Almada Racing and trainer Josue Ponce.
Ruthies Hotrod (CRM Livewire-First Down Rose) and Paul Nieto finished third for owner Robert Patton and trainer Orrin Cogburn.
Sparketta (CRM Livewire-Recketta), Fishin Paint (CRM Livewire-First Place Fish QH), RP Recklesslivewire (CRM Livewire-RP Miss Reckless Dash QH), El Diablo Chicken (Royal Quick Flash- Game Chicken), Good Runnin Range (SM Country Snowman-Heros Strawbaby), DJ Pauly D (Royal Quick Flash-Corona Lace), Awesome Kick (Awesome Chrome-Kick Bay) and RP Deans Livewire (CRM Livewire-RP Miranda Dash) completed the order of finish. VALIANT ROGUE

It was a dark and stormy night at Remington Park for the running of the $54,730 Grade 2 Bob Moore Memorial, a 300-yard contest for older horses that
was run on April 21 over a sloppy track.
After breaking from the 10-post, veteran jockey G. R. Carter made sure Valiant Rogue had his foot-
ing and guided him down the track. They crossed the wire a neck in front to stop the timer in :14.950, posting a career-high 107 speed index.
Valiant Rogue took home the $33,030 winner’s share of the purse for owner Wyok Ranch LLC and trainer James Padgett, boosting his total lifetime earnings to $705,467. He now has a race record
of 7 wins from 20 outs, notching his third stakes victory. His other stakes wins include the 2016 Rainbow Derby-G1 and the 2017 Mighty Deck Three Stakes.
Bollenbach Farms bred the gelding out of Azoom Babe, winner of the 2010 Fair Meadows Belles Stakes. She has produced 100% money earners from 10 starters, including Corona Ranger, winner of the 2017 Evangeline Downs Futurity. Valiant Rogue is her second stakes winner and top money earner.
Knockemout Capi (Capo De Capi-Eyesa Knockout) and jockey Omar Reyes ran second for owner Francisco Vega and Trainer Alfredo Gomez.
Ridden by Yordanis Amaro, Paint My Pilot (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Ms Pilot Point) took third for owner Double A Ranch and trainer Jorge Gonzalez.
PYC Fun N Fancy (PYC Paint Your Wagon-First Prize Fancy), High Plains Perry (Mr Jess Perry-Sky Chicks), Tommy The Train (Freighttrain B-Okie Dokey Annie), The Fiscal Cliff (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Signs Zoomer), Born To B Bad (Freighttrain B-Dosvedanya), Bout Tree Fiddy (Ivory James- Hollie Jollie) and Percyjones (Jesse James Jr-Maggies Miracle Lx) completed the order of finish.

KNOCKEMOUT CAPI

Racing in his 21st career out, Knockemout Capi joined the company of stakes winners when he went wire-to-wire in the $65,500 Mr Jet Moore
Stakes-RG2 at Remington Park on April 5.
There was no stopping Knockemout Capi in this
one. He broke on top from the outside post in the eight-horse field, built a 1/2-length by the first call and stayed in front the rest of the way, holding off longshot Gypsys Last Hero to win by a head.
Alfredo Gomez trains Knockemout Capi, who had Omar Reyes aboard for a 350-yard trip that took :17.582, registering an 88 speed index. The $37,500 winner’s share of the purse pushed his cumulative earnings over the $150,000 milestone to $171,372. Knockemout Capi also logged his fifth career victory.
Francisco Vega’s four-year-old colt came through for his first stakes win after several near-misses and three third-place stakes finishes, including in his most recent prior out in the Mighty Deck Three Stakes-RG3.
Dee and Betty Raper bred Knockemout Capi and own his dam, lightly raced Eyesa Knockout.
She has produced 100% earners from four starters. Oklahoma Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Colt Knockemout Capi is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
Gypsys Last Hero (Valiant Hero-Threadbare Gypsy Soul) came in second place under the guid- ance of jockey Larry Payne for owner Ernestina Cervantes and trainer Guillermo Valdivia.
Valiant Rogue (Valiant Hero-Azoom Babe) finished third under Jose Alvarez for owner Wyok Ranch, LLC and trainer James Padgett II.
Double Down (Valiant Hero-Fast Prize Doll), Tough To Bee (Apollitical Jess-Peppermint Seis), Rarin (Inseperable-Rare Kayoh), Ferrari James (Ivory James-Ferarri Fast Prize) and AJS High (Apollitical Jess-Regally Rare) completed the order of finish.
