Jockey Emilio Tapia brought the gelding out of the 7-post where he drifted out, but quickly recovered. He led by a head as he reached the stretch, then gained additional breathing room late to win the 300-yard race by 1/2-length, finishing in :15.540 for a 95 speed index.
Owned by Jose Castellanos and trained by Roy Ronquillo, the two-year-old gelding is undefeated in his first two starts and has accumulated $17,699 in prize money with the $15,913 payday from this race.
