winner of the 1973 Juvenile Invitational Handi- cap. Tiny Be Mine is the dam of Especially For You, who is unplaced in three starts and is the dam of 1992 Champion 3 Year Old and Cham- pion 3-Year-Old Colt Rare Form.
Kustom Maid is a race winning daughter of Tiny Becky, a daughter of Clabber Tiny, the dam of Tiny Watch. Kustom Maid is the dam of Royal Merrimaid, who earned 49.5 AQHA performance points and is an 11-time AQHA World Show qualifier. She quali-
fied six times in barrel racing and five times in heading, heeling and team penning. She earned 32 AQHA barrel racing points.
When Frank Vessels started putting a breed- ing program together in the 1940’s, he bought a lot of horses. Clabber and Do Good were two of his important purchases. They are the sire and dam of Clabber II, the sire of Clabber Tiny.
Clabber II was foaled in 1946 and he became an ROM/AAA runner. He had 28 starts with seven wins, seven seconds and three thirds earning $2,565. He was stakes placed in the 1951 Christenson’s Tack Shop Handicap. Clabber II sired 112 starters, 52 ROM and two stakes placed runners in Lumpjaw and Clabber Pat. Lumpjaw earned $34,880 and he was the 1966 Champion Aged Gelding. The Clabber II runners overall earned $420,004.
The daughters of Clabber II produced earners of over $1 million with 111 ROM and 20 stakes horses, including 8 stakes win- ners. The leading money earner in this group is Easy Move, the winner of $140,554. He won the 1978 Kansas Derby, earning the title of the 1978 Champion 3-Year-Old Colt.
Clabber was the first horse to be named the Racing World Champion in the old American Quarter Racing Association. He was bred in Texas and owned by Ab Nichols of Arizona when Frank Vessels bought him
in 1944. Clabber was more than a racehorse. Clabber was used as a ranch and roping horse and was often called the “Iron Horse” for his ability to do ranch work and then go to a race meet and win as a match race horse.
Clabber died in 1947. He was the sire
of only 116 registered foals, 52 starters, 27 ROM and eight stakes horses with four of them being stakes winners. His leading mon- ey earner is 1951 Champion Aged Stallion Clabbertown G, winner of $15,932.
The daughters of Clabber produced run- ners that earned $706,150 with 97 ROM and 23 stakes horses with 14 of them stakes win- ners that won 40 stakes. He is the broodmare sire of five Champions that won eight cham- pionship titles. His leading money earner is Triple Lady, who earned the titles of 1959 Co-Champion 3-Year-Old Filly, 1959 Co- Champion Mare and 1960 Champion Mare.

L’Admiralte went on to produce L’Doll,
a race winner with earnings of $2,219. Dur- ing this time, L’Admiralte was owned by
Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Daily. The last foal out of L’Admiralte was Rank Happy, who was foaled in 1963. This colt had four wins and earnings of $9,539. Rank Happy was bred by Frank Vessels. Thus, L’Admiralte joined her son at the Vessels Ranch by this time.
L’Admiralte was by Grand Admiral, a stakes winner of $51,720 with wins in races like the Easy View Stakes and the Saratoga Special. He sired 234 foals, 211 starters and 168 race winners with six stakes winners and earnings of $2.7 mil- lion. His stakes winners include 1957 Ruidoso Thoroughbred Derby winner Grand Fille and Prairie State Stakes winner Ace Destroyer. The daughters of Grand Admiral produced 19 stakes winners, including Anchor Watch, Dub, Admiral Vic and Roman Navy. The maternal grandget of Grand Admiral earned over $5.1 million.
Grand Admiral was by Triple Crown winner War Admiral by Man O’ War. War Admiral is out of Brush Up by Sweep, a son of Ben Brush and out of Pink Domino by Domino. The dam of Grand Admiral was Grand Flame by Grand Time by High Time. High Time is inbred to Domino and is sired by Ultimus, a son of Com- mando by Domino. Ultimus is out of Running Stream by Domino. The dam of High Time is Noonday by Domino. This gives High Time a 3x3x2 breeding pattern to Domino.
Step Away is the dam of L’Admiralte and
she was the winner of $4,825 with six wins. She is the dam of 11 foals with 9 starters/ winners. They include Colleen Stakes winner Elastic ($31,330).
The sire of Step Away is North Star III,
an imported horse that won the Middle Park Stakes in England who was used by Col. E.R. Bradley as a sire of horses like Kentucky Derby winner Bubbling Over. The sire of North

Clabber Tiny produced six foals/ROM with two stakes winners and one stakes placed runner. Beside Tiny Watch, her other stakes winner was Tiny Charger. He won the 1963 Bay Meadows Inaugural Handicap, the 1963 Inaugural Handicap and the 1963 The Hol- lywood Stakes in his three-year-old year. Tiny Charger was second in the 1962 All Ameri- can Futurity and had earnings of $74,482.
Her stakes placed runner was Triple Tiny, who was second in the 1962 Freeway Stakes and third in the 1961 PCQHRA California Bred Futurity.
