JESS LEAVING FAST

Jess Leaving Fast notched his second career stakes win, taking the $53,403 Texas Classic Juvenile at Lone Star Park on Nov. 10.
Jess Leaving Fast was bumped from 10th to 11th in the Texas Classic Futurity on the final trial of the night, but had no equal in this one. Trained by Santiago Riojas Jr. the colt left the 6-gate clean and led by a 1/2-length by the first call. Jockey J.R. Ramirez had Jess Leaving Fast ahead by that same margin going into the stretch, and he pulled away late to win by 3/4-length, finishing the 400-yard trip in :19.884 for a 93 speed index while running into a slight 5 mph headwind.
Jess Leaving Fast now has won half of his six starts to date, and entered black type by winning the Retama Juvenile Challenge in August. A $16,000 purchase from the Heritage Place Yearling Sale by Double H Racing Investment LLC, the colt brought in a $23,765 payday that pushed his lifetime earn- ings to $74,846 and record to 6-3(2)-3-0.
Bob and Jerry Gaston bred Jess Leaving Fast out of unraced Jessa Leaving You. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters, including The Valiant One, who was third in last year’s Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity-G3. Jess Leaving Fast is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Dak (Dominyun-Fleet Elis) finished second for Blue Star Racing. The Leon Bard trainee was ridden by Francisco Calderon. Senator Ryno (Louisiana Senator- Eyesa Lil Cuervo) was third under G. R. Carter Jr. for owner Wootan Racing and trainer Michael Joiner.
Sera Jess Fine V (Jess Lips-Sera Fina), Texaslittlebro (Mr Ottyes-Lovely Legs), The Fish Cartel (Coronado Cartel-Tooty Fruity Fish), All Sophia Wanted (Five Bar Cartel-All I Ever Wanted), Slyng Schott (Ivory James-A Shot At Glory), Five Bar Stoli (Five Bar Cartel-Stoli Angel) and The Grand Legend (FDD Going Grand-Legendary Seis) completed the field.
Far West Futurity
GC HARRYS GAME

GC Harrys Game prevailed in the $32,300 Far West Futurity at Portland Meadows on Nov. 4, leading at every call and logging his first-ever victory
in stakes company.
In his first-ever stakes race, the Scott Raley
trainee broke on top from the 9-gate and led by a head at the first call. With Robert Burney aboard, GC Harrys Game crossed the wire 1/2-length in front in :17.864 for a personal-best 99 speed index. The $12,920 payday pushed the geldings lifetime earnings to $16,318.
Owned by Connie Chumbley, GC Harrys Game made his competitive debut in April at Sun Downs and now has logged a pair of wins in six total outs. He broke his maiden in the Oct. 21 Far West trials, covering the 350 yards wire-to-wire in :18.050 to top the qualifying ladder.
The Gary Chumbley Estate bred GC Harrys Game out of EZ Gamer, winner of the Portland Meadows Futurity, Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass, Portland Meadows Derby and Evergreen Park Distaff Challenge. GC Harrys Game is her first starter.
L Bar D Top Prospect (Prospect To The Top-Be First Rose) was second under Jaime Lopez for own- ers Jose Luis Torres & Chris Carpenter and trainer Hector Magallanes.
Alabama Hills (Brookstone Bay-Tombstone Tina) finished third by a neck for owner Malon Cowgill and trainer Benito Curiel. Jose Figueroa was in the irons.
ER Cartel (Big Daddy Cartel-Here Come The Budder), Ima Five Bar Cartel (Five Bar Cartel-Miss Acclaimed), Willy B Gone (Jess Louisiana Blue-Time To Splash Bac), Kountry Fun (Country Chicks Man- Fullafun), Loosin My Lover (Sixthirteen TB-Lover Call), KR Red Hawk (Favorite Cartel-HawkThree) and Juan Funnybunny (Radical Splash-Juan Full Corona) completed the field.
Portland Meadows Fall Derby
OKEY DOKEY ROAD

Okey Dokey Road sprinted to his first stakes win in the $15,650 Portland Meadows Fall Derby on Dec. 3.
Ridden by Robert Burney, Okey Dokey Road broke sixth in the field of eight from the outside post. He put on a powerful burst of speed in the stretch to pass rivals and win by a neck.
They completed the 400 yards in :19.918, posting a 103 speed index. The $6,260 winner’s share of the purse boosted the gelding’s total lifetime earnings to $16,353.
John Harris trains Okey Dokey Road for owner/ breeder Sig Aumueller. Okey Dokey Road was coming off two consecutive allowance victories at Portland Meadows and has won four of his nine starts, with two seconds and one third.
Sig and Hilde Aumueller bred Okey Dokey Road out of 6-time winner Sissy Road, who was second
in the 2003 Portland Meadows Derby. She has produced 100% money earners from three starters, including Portland Meadows Derby runner-up and top earner Sissis Little Nipper. Okey Dokey Road is her first stakes winner.
Randy Dickerson bred and co-owns second-place CM Once Ina Bluemoon (Ivory James-Cool Blue Corona). Co-owner Nick Lowe trains the gelding, who had Luis Gonzalez aboard.
Jose Figueroa piloted Warhock (Zoomin For Bux-Copa Show Girl) to third for owner Malon Cowgill and trainer Benito Curiel.
Heza Eagle (One Famous Eagle-Copes Hope) finished fourth. I Aint Callin (Masters Call-Real Queen Like It) ran fifth, but was disqualified to 7th, moving Sweet Dream Demon (Sixthirteen TB-Red Hot Diva) to fifth and Morning Brew (Agouti-Jess Takin Off) into sixth. Jes Tex (Texas Icon-Jess Mairi) finished eighth. Bunnys Best Advise was scratched.
