Trained by Adam Archuleta, Funny Munny and Zoomin Racer battled for the lead for the entirety of the 870 yards. Funny Munny was running in front by a head as he entered the stretch, then prevailed to win by a nose. The two horses were more than 4-lengths clear of their nearest rival when they finished the race.

He also reaped a $30,000 payday, pushing his total earnings to $105,705. Leann Archuleta owns the 5-year-old gelding who notched his 6th win in 30 career starts. by Dillon Hamilton
She Eat Fire joined a growing family legacy by winning her first stakes event in the $45,979 Texas Classic Juvenile for two year olds that remained eligible and ran in the Texas Classic Futurity trials at Lone Star Park on Nov. 11.
The sorrel filly, a half-sister to the Texas Classic Derby-G1 winner Apolltical Chad, broke well in third and strode her way into second by first call under Ricky Ramirez. The pair had work to do at the stretch if they wanted the winner’s purse, finding themselves 1/2-length behind the leader. She covered the 400-yard fast track in :20.092 and earned an 87 speed index.
She Eat Fire, in scoring her first stakes event, brought home the $20,461 winner’s share for owner Paragon Farms LLC and trainer Trey Wood. The money increased the filly’s lifetime total to $88,121. Previously, She Eat Fire qualified to and finished 5th in the Ruidoso Futurity-G1
