Though still a maiden going into the $15,300 Robert Huebeck Stakes on May 25, Ur My Favorite had shown ability. The filly had finished second or third five times in seven starts, including a third in the 2018 AQHA Turf Paradise Futurity.
Sent away as the fourth choice in the Robert Huebeck Stakes, Ur My Favorite broke in third from the outside post with Martin Osuna aboard. She quickly took over the lead and increased her advantage to 1/2-length at the wire.
Her time of :17.774 for 350 yards earned her a 103 speed index.
Armando Castellanos trains Ur My Favorite for owner Valerie Velazquez. Jaime Gomez bred Ur My Favorite in California from the Jazzing Hi mare Prima LD. The mare has produced five winners from 17 starters, including 2009 Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1 winner LD Fire, 2019 Leo Stakes-G1 winner LD Is Back, and 2015 New Mexico Classic Derby-G2 winner Major Moonflash.
Jake Samuels piloted First Lady Perry (Mr Jess Perry-First Lady Amber) to second for owner Scott McDaniel and trainer John Allred. First Lady Perry won the Turf Paradise Futurity.
Rigoberto Guillen owns and trains third-place El Saucito (Favorite Cartel-Sonora Cartel). Kevin Carbajal rode the gelding for Guillen. El Saucito had won one race at Los Alamitos and one at Turf Paradise in 11 prior starts.
Im Rocket Man (One Dashing Eagle-DLT Runaway) was fourth and was followed by EBW Carolina (Jesse James Jr-EBW Obsession), Looken Good (Hawkinson-Looks Like Texas), Ahs Blue Boy (Jess Louisiana Blue-Ror Seasick), Trump Train (Dominyun-Stolen Cartel), Cristo Cartel (Big Daddy Cartel-Sandys Fame), and Mr Pura Vida (Five Bar Cartel-Jess A Fling). Dashing Katt was scratched.

In his April 28 trial heat, John Carter Cash won by a whopping 3 1/2-lengths, posting the fastest time for the 300-yard Pot O’ Gold Futurity. Then, the colt got
the cash in the $27,146 finals at Sun Downs on May 12. John Carter Cash stepped away from the 6-post
in sixth under Jose Guerrero. The duo grabbed the lead at the top of the stretch, however, crossing the line 1-length in front.
John Carter Cash completed the distance in :15.762 for a 92 speed index. The son of Carters Cartel also earned the first place check worth $10,570 for owner Juan M. Rodriguez and trainer Jose Rosales Gomez. The colt’s total earnings stand at $11,120 from a perfect two-for-two race record.
Ronald E. Raley bred John Carter Cash out of 10-time winner One Fast Trick, who won four stakes events including the 2004 Far West Futurity-G3 and the 2004 Withnell Dodge Firecracker Futurity-G3. The mare has produced 100% money earners from five starters, including top earner Thinkin Of Girls, who won the 2013 Baxter Andruss Oregon Bred Futurity. John Carter Cash becomes her second stakes winner with this victory.
Tionesta (Hawkinson-Looks Like Texas) was second under Robert Burney for owner Jose A. Mendoza and trainer Saul Rodriguez.
Running Springs (Seperate Interest-Running Bac) and Jake Samuels were third for owner Chris Philbrook and trainer Hector Magallanes.
One Famous Disco Man (One Famous Man- Disco Arboleta 37) finished in fourth place and was followed by Corazon Rastado 727 (The Louisiana Cartel-Sheza Princess Belle), Cut A Swell (Jess Louisiana Blue-Glitteratti), Senor Frogs (Coronado Cartel-Nellie Soprano), Jess A Little More (Favorite Cartel-Jess Jazzin), One Flyin Foose (Foose-One Famous Strawfly) and Fooses Flyer (Foose-Fly Thru Time).

Dickey Bob sprinted to his fifth stakes win in the $25,000 North Star State Stakes at Canterbury Park on May 27.
Under Julian Serrano, the gelding broke in front from the 5-post and continued to extend his lead throughout the 300 yards, crossing the finish line 1-length in front. The gelding ran wire-to-wire down the sloppy track using a 25mph tail wind to stop the clock in :15.278, earning a 108 speed index and a New Track Record.
Dickey Bob’s $12,500 winner’s share of the purse boosted his cumulative earnings to $146,954. Owned by Lunderborg LLC and trained by
Jason Olmstead, the gelding now has a race record of 18-9(5)-2(0)-1(1), which includes victories in last year’s Minnesota Derby, Cash Caravan Stakes and Bob Morehouse Stakes.
Lunderborg LLC bred Dickey Bob out of 3-time winner Paint Or More, who was victorious in the 2011 North Central QHRA Futurity. She has produced 100% winners from two starters, including top money earner PYC Jess Bite Mydust, who has won 3 stakes races including last year’s version of the North Star State Stakes as well as the 2017 Minnesota Derby and the 2016 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity.
PYC Jess Bite Mydust (Apollitical Jess-Paint Or More), last year’s winner of this race, was second under Ry Eikleberry also for owner Lunderborg LLC and trainer Jason Olmstead.
Curious James (Ivory James-Takin On The Crunch) and Nik Goodwin finished third for owner/trainer Mark Wilson.
Streak N Sparks (Azoom-Streak N Sierra) finished in fourth and was followed by Jess A Rumor (Jess Jones-Forbiden Ivory) and Fantastic Feelyn (Fantastic Corona Jr-Fly Eyeann). Eos Marie Leveau was scratched.
