owner-breeder Jack Wilson had risked Redneck Sis at the claim box four times this year at prices ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. Fortunately for
Wilson, no one dropped in a claim slip, missing the opportunity to nab a future stakes winner. The 4-year- old mare jumped up to the Fair Meadows Maturity on July 7 and earned $13,088 and black type.
Redneck Sis bounced out of post five ahead of her seven rivals and never looked back. As Sunny D tried to catch her on the outside, the gray lengthened her stride and held off the gelding. With regular rider Randy Wilson in the saddle, she won by three- quarters of a length in :17.360.
Bonnie Wilson trains Redneck Sis, who began her career at Remington Park in 2010 and broke her maiden at Fair Meadows. The Oklahoma-bred filly raced in allowance company throughout 2011, win- ning once at Remington. In her four claiming races this season, Redneck Sis finished unplaced twice before winning a $5,000 claimer at Remington and a $15,000 claimer at Fair Meadows.
Redneck Sis is out of winner Dads Sassy Sissy. The mare has produced two winners from three starters. Christian Rubalcava trains second-place Sunny
D (Okey Dokey Dale-Sweethearts Lady) for owner Raul Rubalcava. Berkley Packer rode the gelding, who in 2010 won the Bill Hedge Memorial Stakes.
Senor Fish (Fishers Dash-First Place Affair) fin- ished third for owner Miguel Banuelos, trainer Jose Aguilera, and jockey Jeremy Garcia. In four starts at Remington this year, Senor Fish won three and finished second once.
Completing the field were SR Jess Lookin (Mr Eye Opener-Miss Jess Perry), Teller Sheez Royal (Teller Cartel-Royal Coins), First N Gold (First N Kool-Azurees Gold), Just Wannabe Postoak (Royal Blue Chew Chew-Nocoronajustbud), and Drill Baby Drill (Gold Medal Jess-Lady Dee Vee Em).
Strike it Rich Appaloosa F.
Dee Dee BLue CLouD

in her racing debut, Dee Dee Blue Cloud bumped foes a bit as a young horse is wont to do. She finished seventh, but made a huge improvement in
her second start. This time she avoided trouble and graduated to stakes winner with a victory in the July 7 Strike It Rich Appaloosa Futurity at Fair Meadows.
Sues Lucky Diamond broke on top as Dee Dee Blue Cloud and jockey Fernando Camacho came away from the gate well. They quickly got in gear and took over the top spot, vying with favored Fishin With Jo to the inside.
Meanwhile, Fast N Easy Memories ducked in abruptly from a right-handed whip, colliding with Sues Lucky Diamond, who stumbled. Dee Dee
Blue Cloud pulled away from Fishin With Jo to win by a half-length in :18.137. Fast N Easy Memories outfinished Sues Lucky Diamond for fourth, but the stewards disqualified Fast N East Memories for the bumping incident, placing her fifth and elevating Sues Lucky Diamond to fourth.
Michelle Hurdle trains Dee Dee Blue Cloud for owner Dan Grotheer, and the Grotheer Brothers Partnership bred the filly in Kansas. The Appaloosa’s dam, Triple Dee Dee, placed on the racetrack and has produced one other unraced foal.
John Diediker’s homebred Fishin With Jo (With Intent-Fishin Jo) was making his racing debut in the Strike It Rich. Larry Payne piloted the gelding for trainer Robert Dimitt. Randy Wilson rode show fin- isher James Michael (With Intent-It’s Cash’s Perks), who was also facing the starter for the first time. James Limbaugh bred, owns, and trains the gelding.
Rounding out the field were Sues Lucky Diamond (Neds Smooth Diamond-Sues Question Me), Fast N Easy Memories (Troubled Memories- Fast N Easy Effort), Moonin And Zoomin (TMA Moonshine-Zoomin From The Bar), and SR JJS Lady (Geneo JJ-Sunshines Midge).

Jeff Dean, co-owner of the Paint Flash Of Silk with B.J. Hall and also his trainer, may ultimately transition the gelding into a barrel horse. But the more Flash Of Silk races, the farther off that barrel career may be. He added another stakes victory on July 7 in the Lewis Wartchow Memorial Paint and Appaloosa Stakes at Fair Meadows.
The Wartchow attracted a strong field including four of the Paints champions from 2011—Flash Of Silk, CRM Livewire, Junglebell, and Barney Ofield. The four champions took the first four spots. CRM Livewire jumped out to the early lead. Flash Of Silk, ridden by James Flores, tucked in behind the leader, angled out, and then caught him right as they came to the wire. Flash Of Silk won by a nose in :17.498.
Flash Of Silk has won stakes in each of his three seasons of racing. At 2 in 2010, he captured the Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Paint Futurity-G1. Last year at 3, he won the OHA Paint and Appaloosa Derby-RG2, Lorelei Derby-G3, and Talimena Handicap.
Dean and Hall bought Flash Of Silk from breed- ers Harvey and Kay Churchwell because they had raced his half-sister, stakes winner Country Quick Cookie. The Churchwells bred both runners from 2002 Summer Paint Derby winner Judys Silk.
Matt Whitekiller trains CRM Livewire-APHA (Cartel Success-Elaina Go Go) for owner-breeder Dan Jones. Larry Payne piloted the colt.
Mario Chavez rode Junglebell-APHA (Little Jungle Jet-Jezebellway) for Ray Enlow who owns, bred, and trains the filly.
Completing the field were Barney Ofield-APHA (Judys Lineage-Shero), Special Sign-APHA (Special Leader-Signs Of Sumer), Super Black Knight-APHA (Country Quick Dash-Estella), BG The Widow Maker- ApHC (Takin The Cash-Fling T Black Widow), and Eye Chek You-ApHC (Eye Yin You-KP’S Rane Chek).
