When entering a Late Entry, pay the amount shown in the late column for that payment date plus all Regular payments to date and then resume normal payment schedule.
If you miss your regular payment deadline, you may reinstate your horses by making a double payment of that payment date. This will only be good if the payment is made before the next scheduled payment due date. If two consecutive payments are missed then the entry will be ineligible, although you may re-enter with late payments.
 RACING NEWS
Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity TEMPTING SCOUT
by Michael Compton
Tempting Scout remained undefeated and became a stakes winner by leading a Jason Olmstead-trained sweep of the top three placings in the $157,243 Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity at Prairie Meadows on July 8.
With jockey Armando Alvidrez in the irons, Tempting Scout broke alertly and chased race- favorite Cardiac Cowboy in the early stages of the 350-yard dash. As Cardiac Cowboy began to fade in the lane, Tempting Scout forged
to the front and fought off stablemate Jess A Rednec Cowboy to prevail by a nose at the finish.
In winning the first stakes race of her young career, Tempting Scout stopped the timer in :17.558 and earned
a speed index of 97 for Olmstead, who also saddled runner-up Jess A Rednec and third-place finisher Cardiac Cowboy, who was outkicked late by the top pair.
Owned by Tom Maher, Tempting Scout kept her record unblemished through three starts, and the $70,759 winner’s share of the purse swelled her bankroll to $86,788.
“She had won her trial the same way,
going to the front straight away and just going on with it,” shared Maher. “She was undefeated going in, and I thought she had a good chance to win it, and she did.”
Bred in Texas by Paragon Farms, Tempting Scout was sold to Maher for
$62,000 at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale. A half- sister to stakes winner and
All American Futurity-G1 runner-up FDD Scout, Tempting Scout is produced from the multiple graded stakes- winning Apollitical Jess mare Apollitical Scout. A winner in seven of 22 lifetime outings, Apollitical Scout won the 2018 Junos Request Stakes-G2 and the 2017 Remington Park
Oklahoma Bred Derby-G3 en route to a career bankroll of $380,952 for owner Paragon Farms.
Second-place finisher Jess A Rednec Cowboy (Flying Cowboy 123-Valiant Red Vixen) was ridden by Ramiro Garcia and is an Oklahoma homebred for Brenda Reiswig. Third-place finisher Cardiac Cowboy (Flying Cowboy 123-Southard Cartel) rounded
out the Olmstead trio. Ridden by Edwin Escobedo, Cardiac Cowboy is an Oklahoma homebred for Jo Rice.
Lazles Lights (The Marfa Lights-Little Lazajane), Tornado Jane (One Fabulous Eagle- Fire Blu), KVN A Streakin (KVN Corona- Legacys A Streakin), SFS Capo De Gato (Capo De Capi-CNN Alley Cat), and Little Barbie Tales (Wagon Tales-Litle Kool Barbie) completed the order of finish. Cool Magic and Mr Kash Wagon were scratched.
