aking her first career start at Canterbury Park,
Jess Special Folly V sprinted to a three-quarter length victory in the July 19, $37,026 Q-Racing Video Canterbury Distaff Challenge.
Jess Special Folly V covered 400 yards in :19.672 while posting a 103 speed index under jockey Fernando Fonseca-Soto. Durk Peery prepped the 4-year-old daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess for owner MOK 4 Racing.
Jess Special Folly V was coming off of a Remington Park spring campaign during which she won two of three races and ran fifth, three-quarters of a length behind winner Fabulous Rachel, in the June 3, $119,120 Junos Request Stakes-G1. The bay mare was bred in Oklahoma by Valeriano Racing Stables LLC, and she is out of Special Folly Dash, a winning daughter of champion Tempting Dash.
Jess Special Folly V traces back to her third dam, Dashing Folly, a multiple graded stakes winning daughter of First Down Dash and the sport’s world champion in 1996. Raced in six states, the mare has won four of 12 starts, and the $17,772 winner’s share of the purse from her first stakes victory increased her bankroll to $88,743.
Five Bar Fantasy (Five Bar Cartel-JA Fantasy) finished second and earned the $7,590 runner-up share of the purse for her owner, Tailored for Gold Stables. Nik Goodwin rode the mare for trainer Liandro Morfin. Eye Live For Candy (A Revenant- Eyesa Candy Maker) ran third, 1 1/4 lengths behind Jess Special Folly V, while banking $3,703 for her owner, Milena Kwiecien. J.B. Botello rode mare for trainer Jason Pascoe.
NSM Parks Candy Girl (Jess Good Candy-Corona With Ice), Political Fire (Apollitical Jess-Lady Perry On Fire), A Star Tonite (Carters Cartel-Star Bright Tonite), RTM Belle (Ivory James-RTM Say Your Prayers), and Patriotic Attitude (Jet Black Patriot- Fashionisanattitude) completed the order of finish.

elentlessly Fast broke his maiden in fine style on
July 19 at Canterbury Park, topping a trifecta of offspring by the stallion Hes Relentless in winning the $70,231 MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity.
Ridden by Angel Ramirez, Relentlessly Fast broke alertly and chased early leader Relentless Corona through the early stages of the 350-yard event on July 19. Despite drifting late, Relentlessly Fast ran to his name in the lane, defeating Relentless Corona by a head at the finish, with Relentless Minnie rallying late for third, a head behind the runner-up in the blanket finish. In winning the first race of his career at odds of 23-1, Relentlessly Fast stopped the timer in :17.958 and earned a speed index of 88.
Owned by Tom Maher and trained by Tyler Stein, Relentlessly Fast is now a winner in one of four lifetime outings. The $31,289 winner’s share of the purse increased the brown gelding’s bankroll to $35,699. Bred in Oklahoma by Stuart and Strebig, Relentlessly Fast is out of the winning and Grade 1 finalist mare Logans Fast Dasher.
Runner-up Relentless Corona (Hes Relentless-Mai Corona) just missed under jockey Jorge Torres. Still
in search of her initial victory for owners Tom Maher and Paul Luedemann, Relentless Corona is trained by Jason Olmstead.
Third-place finisher Relentless Minnie (Hes Relentless-Valiant Filly), piloted by Stormy Smith and also trained by Olmstead, closed strongly in the lane to secure the show spot for owner Summer Run Inc.
Relentless Bay (Hes Relentless-Ms Dynasty), Sugar Rushh (One Fabulous Eagle-Candy Coated Paint), Fabulous N Fiery (One Fabulous Eagle- Three Twenty), Little Zorrito (Little PYC-Jazzing Jackie), Relentless Robin (Hes Relentless-Tritoon), Comeback Darling (Toro Grande-TB-Folas Big Tip), and Relentlessly Sweet (Hes Relentless-Her Sweet Choice) completed the order of finish.

underborg LLC’s Dickey Bob was a prompt 6-5
favorite in the $22,400 Bob Morehouse Stakes for Minnesota-breds at Canterbury Park on July 12.
Prepped by Jason Olmstead, Dickey Bob covered 350 yards in :17.479, and his margin of victory was 2 3/4-lengths. Ramiro Garcia rode the homebred 8-year-old gelding.
Dickey Bob was winning the Bob Morehouse Stakes for the fourth time in his career.
Dickey Bob was coming off of a Remington
Park spring campaign during which he ran third, 3/4-lengths behind winner Just A Kool Boy in the $54,800 Bob Moore Memorial Stakes-G2 on April 22.
The gelding is out of Paint Or More, a daughter of PYC Paint Your Wagon, who won the 2011 North Central QHRA Futurity at Canterbury Park. Dickey Bob traces back to his third dam, Teller Queen, an Easy Jet mare who won five graded stakes from 1988-89, including the ’89 Los Alamitos Derby-G1.
Raced in five states, Dickey Bob has won 25 of 53 starts, including 14 of 22 at Canterbury Park, and the $11,200 winner’s share of the purse from his 13th career stakes score increased his bankroll to $417,154.
Tom Maher’s Relentless Babe (Hes Relentless- Mai Corona) earned the $4,480 runner-up share of the purse. Luis Valenzuela rode the 4-year-old mare for trainer Jason Olmstead.
Western Reserve (Ima Fancy Pyc-Western Fun) banked the $3,360 third-place share of the purse for her owners, Robert Petersen and Julie Petersen. Cristian Esqueda rode the homebred 5-year-old mare for trainer Ed Hardy.
Eos Whiskey Girl (Apollitical Jess-Saving Shirley) and Relentless Legacy (Hes Relentless-Legacys A Streakin) completed the order of finish. Michael B and Myownersbroke scratched.
