FEATURED MUSEUM
Curaçao is home to a number of interesting museums, including the Maritime
Museum, Kura Hulanda Museum and Tula Museum in Landhuis Knip. But for
art lovers, the Curaçao Museum has to be your first stop.
THE CURAÇAO MUSEUM
The oldest museum on Curaçao, this unique attraction is housed in a
listed building from 1853. You’ll find work by local and international artists,
including Charles Eyck, Carel Willink, Ocalia, Charley Toorop and Isaac
Israels. Alongside the art, you can find a diverse collection of antique
furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries and a traditional Curaçaoan
kitchen with its red and white polka-dot walls. In the sculpture garden,
freedom fighters of days gone by, like Brion and William of Orange, share
space with modern works by Yubi Kirindongo, Hortence Brouwn, Philippe
Zanolino and others. There’s also a children’s village in the garden for kids
to explore on their own.
