Torrin began his scouting adventure when he joined Cub Pack 764 in 2012 and earned his Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Ranks, and the Arrow of Light Award. He crossed over to Troop 493 in April 2018 and earned his First Class Rank in March 2019. Torrin has served his Troop as Historian, Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. Torrin also joined Venturing Crew 4 in May 2022.
Torrin is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned 34 Merit Badges and the BSA Lifeguard. He has attended summer camp at Camps Shands and Rainey Mountain.
For his Eagle Project, Torrin built and installed an American Flag retirement box for the American Legion.
Torrin is a homeschooled senior. He is active in the D and D Club at the American Legion. He has staffed at both Camp Rainey Mountain and Winter Blast at Camp Shands and hopes to return to staff at Rainey Mountain again. After graduation, Torrin plans to continue traveling to and participating in Native American Pow Wows and experiencing their culture while also learning more about the modern Aztec Dancers and the Yemassee Tribe. One of Torrin’s other goals is to help his family manage their day-to-day tasks and help his parents as much as he can. He also aspires to become more involved in a leadership position in the Order of the Arrow and assist other Scouts in his troop achieve their goals.
