OFFICIAL EMBLEM
2024 Summer Convention | Letter from the Chairman of the Board
Dear Esteemed Convention Participants:
On behalf of the SFSLAC Federation Board, I want to extend our warmest welcome to you as we kick off the Summer Convention at the Hyatt Regency riverfront in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Your presence here is highly appreciated and we are thrilled to have you join us for what promises to be inspiring, joyful and fun-filled cultural events.
One of the most valuable aspects of attending our conventions
is the opportunity to connect with our cousins, fellow attendees and to network with other organizations. We believe that these interactions can lead to
collaboration, inspiration, professional growth and long-term friendships. We have a fantastic lineup of fun activities and cultural and business presentations, including interaction with
a British captain who crossed the Atlantic Ocean by sailing a Phoenician replica ship, with native Americans who believe that the Phoenicians were in America 2,500 years ago. Also,
an educational presentation from the “Kahlil Gibran Historical Society” which will include readings from “The Prophet” with a discussion session to follow.
This convention is the culmination of an enormous effort put forward by the coalition of the Federation Convention Committee and the local clubs. I would especially like to take this occasion to pay tribute to the FCC Chair Sharon Abercia, to Jerry Lavespere, to Sandy Moses, to Jacksonville Co-Chairs, Kim Dewan and Paul Ossi and all of the members of the Arabic Club and Salaam Club for hosting this convention.
Thank you for being part of this exciting journey. Together, we’ll make this convention a memorable and rewarding experience.
Warm regards.
Habib Osta
