▪ An additional abnormal presentation of the facial bones takes place in the mandible.
▪ Micrognathia, a small mandible and recessed chin, is associated with trisomy 13 and trisomy 18 and has been found in several other syndromes and chromosomal aberrations.
– Micrognathia is best visualized in the sagittal view of the fetal face.
